From version 1.3 onward, this mod supports Native Settings UI and allows you to use its menu to easily change its configurations. (reload the save to apply the changes)
If you don't have Native Settings UI installed, and you don't want to use it, you can still use this mod but will need to use a text editor (and reload your whole game) to change the numbers in "settings.json" (max angle 60.0)
If you're interested in ricochets, you should definitely check out my other related mods: (different requirements and purposes, but they keep expanding on the mechanic) Keep Drawing The Line - Control when/how/if the ricochet preview line is showed. Ambush Compiler - Alternative Ballistic Coprocessor cyberware, meant for stealth play.
Hey, this might be an unusual request/question, but is there a way to add a constant increase to the ricochet count because I wanted to free up that mod slot that would be occupied by the 'Richochet Engine' Weapon Mod. That is why I wanted to ask you if you could tell me the proper way to add those lines of code. I tried various different ways but none seem to work . This would be highly appreciated! Anyways, thank you for making and providing us with the mod at all :)
Latest version is causing a cet error for me [2025-02-02 14:39:42 UTC-04:00] [49388] init.lua:3: attempt to call global 'createConstantStatModifier' (a nil value) stack traceback: init.lua:3: in function <init.lua:2>
Would you by chance have the console command to add this mod's Ricochet Engine weapmod to your inventory in the CET console? I am having to remove all my Enhanced Craft-made weapons to get the CyberCAT save editor to load (at least I think that's what's wrong, I remember the two not playing well together in the past) and two of my weapons have the Ricochet Engine on them. Having a console command to re-add them will expedite reconstructing them after clearing things up in the save with the save editor.
I installed the Pistol Pack 2 mod and now I don't understand why the vanilla pistols fire rate is so terrible, so I wanted to install that mod. I was looking for an alternative, but I don't think there is one.
Strange, I think I fixed the mod. For some reason, the 2nd ricochet simply did not work and was not visible at any angles and regardless of surfaces, but after reinstalling the mod everything worked.
Anyway thanks for the mod, it complements the stealth gameplay quite well
Great mod! The only "problem" I encounter is the fact that enemies marked using the scanner or by the Ping hack lose their red silhouette as soon as they are marked in green for a ricochet once and never gain it back, even by a new ping.
Is there a way to make enemies regain their red marking when they aren't marked for a ricochet anymore?
Thank you for your reply. You are right, this seems to be a vanilla behaviour which I never noticed before. I nearly always used to take out enemies with silenced guns, takedowns and quickhacks, so I had not many situations where this became a problem.
With your mod, I noticed it for the first time because of the ability of silenced guns to produce ricochets. I tested without your mod and the disappearence of the red silhouette is still there.
May I have a request for the mod? Will you please add an optional button for "Ricochet Wall Penetration" 'cause I found a weapon mod for wall penetration and I wanna bring back the old malorian arms 3516 where it ricochets and penetrates wall

I'll see what can be done about it

If I adjust this mod to a maximum angle of a given number (let's say 15°), will weapon mods then still add to that on top or not?
Thank you :)
