At least for the basic icons with the original art this mod is unnecessary - you can change the shortcut icon to a higher-res one by right clicking, then selecting Properties>Web Document>Change Icon...>Browse... and then navigating to the actual binary of the game (e.g c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\Cyberpunk2077.exe). You will be given two versions of the original icon, and selecting one will change the desktop icon to one with a reasonable resolution. Why this is not the case by default is beyond me tho.
Your suggestion worked. Thanks brother. Had no clue why the icon for the "biggest game ever" was blurry and looks awful but their icon for the previous game The Witcher 3 looked nice, made no sense. It's honestly a very very small thing when you think about it and it shouldn't have bothered me much but it was a eyesore to look at. Especially because i have my icon literally right next to The Witcher 3's icon and it just looked wrong seeing Cyberpunk 2077's look like s#*! next to the Witcher one
Thank you very much, this was the first thing that bothered me the most. I picked up the one with yellow background with the game title written on it. GOG Galaxy, has an ugly icon, with male V in some kind of circle.
