    Hi chooms,

    My favorite keybinds settings.

    The description section picture tells the essentials.
    These are optimized defaults, you can rebind most of the keys as you like in-game.

    Current mod version is made for v. 2.0 + of Cyberpunk 2077.
    All mod versions are compatible with "Input Loader".

    Optional versions provided :
    * "Dodge and Mouse only" version with vanilla binds + Dodge on Alt function + mouse QoL features.

    Remember to :

    1. Use the "Restore Defaults" button in your in-game keybinds menu, and adjust your binds

    2. Additionally, you will have to shut down the game entirely and restart to make the mod work as intended

    User feedback reports that these two operations can be mandatory whether you are an Input Loader user or not.

    Personal bind customization :
    Spoiler:
    Show

    Check these key values to customize your binds manually.

    How it works :

    This mod's files act as default keybinds ('/r6/config' files).
    The keybinds you set in game are stored elsewhere and take priority on them, so you can restore default keybinds in game to get the mod functions and assign your personal keybinds in the same game session.

    Every keybind you can't set in game (e.g. the "dodge" keybind) should be set directly in the modded default keybinds files :
    'inputUserMappings.xml' , located in 'r6/config/' folder
    .
    A 'restore defaults' operation will be needed to make your modification work.

    Input Loader users only :
        Each time you start your game, InputLoader will merge every mod files located in your  '/r6/input' folder with your default keybinds.
      However, the keybinds you set in game always take priority on Input Loader keybinds (these in-game binds include an "overridableUI=" tag).

      Every keybind you can't set in game (e.g. the "dodge" keybind) should be set in the modded default keybinds files :  'inputUserMappings.xml' , located in 'r6/config/' folder,
     and should be also set in the mod's Input Loader specific file : Dedicated_Dodge_Please-XXX.xml' , located in '/r6/input/' folder.

      A restore defaults operation and a game restart will be needed to make your modification work.

    -> Keybind priorities :      In-game menu keybinds   >   InputLoader keybinds (/r6/input/)   +   Default keybinds (/r6/config/)

    Update Notes :
    CP2077 v.1.5 update added some enhancements including 'Toggle walk' and 'Holster weapon' keybinds.
    - Holster is bound to 'H' and 'Q' double tap.
    - Toggle walk is bound to 'Z'.

    CP2077 v.2.0 update added a dedicated dodge function.
    - This mod becomes useless regarding dodge, it just forces everything the way it is descibed on main page including the switch weapon functions...
    - Left Mouse will not select the chosen dialog anymore, because it now produces a conflict preventing to use the new appearance changing mirror UI.
    - Slow walk (Full mod only) : has been unbound from arrow keys, because it became useless and produced conflicts in photo mode. Slow drive has been kept.

    Enjoy!

    Hi chooms,

    I don't have enough space yet to reinstall CP2077 right now, I'm not using it anymore, so i will try to update the mod for 2.1+ when i have the space and the time but it's kind of tedious and I think it will be the last time i will do it.

    You should really switch to some more update-proof elegant solutions made by skilled modders rather than this config brute forcing trick.
    Yes It's quick and adds some cool QoL features you won't have otherwise but that's all and that's not much in the end.
    Furthermore, it's not ideal for general compatibility with mods using inputloader because of it's bruteforcing nature, sometimes other mods won't work along with it.

    I will not recommend any alternative mod right now since i can't test any of them and don't want to misguide you, but they should be easy to find.

    If anyone has some nice working mod alternatives to recommend giving similar results, please post them in this thread for other users.

    If anyone wants to keep this mod alive, just copy-paste it, make it evolve and publish it without asking, just be kind enough to provide a link to your mod in the thread below for other users.

    Cheers !

    Not working in 2.12a.

    This mod makes it impossible to assign a keybind to the radioport, likely because it was created before that feature was added to the game. Tried assigning multiple different keys to the radioport keybind and none of them work at all. The provided backup keybind files are also for an older version of the game and as such, the radioport still can't be bound to any key when using them.

    Would not recommend that anyone install this mod until it gets updated, unless you'd like to never be able to turn off the radioport while walking around, or switch the radio channel. Sucks too because this is one of the best custom control schemes for the game. Oh well, at least it's possible to just manually set most of these keybinds by following the guide picture.

    Hey there!

    First, thanks for this awesome mod. I've just found out about it and I've been loving it; however, I've met a stalemate when trying to take photos in game and I've unfortunately not seen anyone with the same issue I have, despite looking through Discords and these threads.

    I've tried changing the keybinds (restored to defaults in game afterwards and rebooted every time) in your .xml but I was not able to find the culprit.

    I found that (as far as I'm aware, it's the only way to, other than the mouse, but that eliminates fine-tuning), Photo Mode is using left_button, right_button, up_button and down_button to navigate its subcategories (PhotoMode_[direction]_Button is the action I'm referring to), but the problem is that the arrow keys also control the camera.

    I'm not sure what else I can try to do in order to fix it as it can get quite annoying that I have to move the camera back and forth every time I want to navigate the menus, so my question is this:

    Is there a way to remap the menu scrolling or is there a way to stop the camera from moving with the arrow keys? Maybe separate camera control from menu navigation?

    Feel free to tell me I'm completely missing the point of what I should be doing to change this if I spit bs all along.

      Hi LtGhostinrag,

      Thanks for the appreciation ! And the precise feedback too
      I think it can be fixed, and this must come from my mod because i just don't use photo mode at all so some conflicts must have slipped through.
      I really can't look at it right now, but i promise to test it out and come with some solution around this week for all mod versions if i can.

      Cheers!

      If nothing else, it might give anyone who might be in the same pickle as me some closure, so fingers crossed waiting for the update :D

      Hi LtGhostinrag,

      This is due to the slow walk function bound to arrow keys, and it concerns only the full mod version.

      Here are 2 possible solutions for the moment :

      Adaptation :
      Use your mouse instead of arrow keys to fine tune photo mod sliders ! :P

      Modification :
      Remove slow walk function bound to arrow keys from full mod.

      How to do it :

      Spoiler:
      Show
      To make your own mod version without the slow walk function bound to your arrow keys :

          1. Go to the mod's "r6/config/" folder

          2. Open "inputUserMappings.xml" file :

          3.    Search for this string :
                      <mapping name="LeftX_Axis" type="Axis" >

              Remove specifically these 4  following lines:
                          <button id="IK_Left" val="-0.65" />
                          <button id="IK_Right" val="0.65" />
                          <button id="IK_Up" val="0" />
                          <button id="IK_Down" val="0" />

          4.    Search for this string :
                      <mapping name="LeftY_Axis" type="Axis" >

              Remove specifically these 4 following lines:
                          <button id="IK_Up" val="0.65" />
                          <button id="IK_Down" val="-0.65" />
                          <button id="IK_Left" val="0" />
                          <button id="IK_Right" val="0" />

          5. To make your modification work with "Input Loader" :

              - Go to the mod's "r6/input" folder

              - Repeat the operations 3. and 4. in "Dedicated_Dodge_Please_(...).xml" file

          Force mod settings by resetting default keybinds in the game settings menu,
          shutdown and restart the game to let Input Loader merge your input mods at startup.

      Enjoy ! :)

      PS: Since these binds are quite useless now and concern only on foot movement, i will just remove them completely from the full mod in the next update, coming soon.

      Hi LtGhostinrag,

      Here is a fix for the issue you talked about :

      Since it has become useless and produces conflicts, "Slow walk" function won't be bound to arrow keys anymore.

      "Slow drive" will however still be bound to arrow keys, because it's still useful to stroll or park somewhere wthout killing people.

      If you have this same photo mod problem reappearing while being in a vehicle (i didn't try but who knows...), try to use your mouse to fine tune its sliders instead of arrow keys.

      Enjoy !

      Hi Modestal,

      Your config files are messed up.
      It could also be some conflict with other mods adding/modifying binds directly with config files.
      (The mods letting you configure new binds with the in-game settings menu do not conflict with DDP mod, and they will have the priority on DDP hard set binds, so they shouldn't be an issue)

      If it's not due to a mod conflict these operations should fix your problem :
      - in the game's ~/r6/input folder, delete all files named "Dedicated_Dodge_Please_(...).xml
      - install the mod with your mod manager or manually (by copying the mod's r6 folder directly into your game folder, and overwriting everything).
      - Start the game, force mod settings by restoring defaults, apply, shut down the game, restart the game.

      Let me know if it fixed your problem.

      Cheers !

      Hi oxis p,

      Well, you seem to have done all the necessary steps, if you installed the mod in the correct folder i really don't know what could be the problem apart from eventual mod conflicts.

      Hi OddCoward,

      I couldn't reproduce this issue but :

      If you installed the mod manually, be sur to check if there is only one file version for this mod in your ~/r6/input/ folder. If not, remove all files named Dedicated_Dodge(...).xml in your ~/r6/input/ folder and reinstall the mod.

      You can try some kind of in-game 'hard reset' for the weapon switching binds that could work :
      in the game's binding settings menu, restore defaults (force mod's settings) and bind 'next weapon' and 'previous weapon' to anything else than "mouse wheel up" and "mouse wheel down". See if browsing dialogs works again. If it does, you can bind weapon switching back to your mousewheel.
      Let me know if it helped.

      Cheers !

    Hi Franebleu.

    Is there any chance of you updating this mod to 2.0?
    I've already tried myself but i can't seem to make it work. The two problems i've found is, not being able to execute quickhacks and i can't spend perk and attribute points in the new perk tree menu, I can however spend my attribute points in the character tab.

      Hi everyone,

      Here is an update for CP2077 v2.0   8)

      @Kibisi: when the general command shows exceptions, searching for specific keywords in the config file could lead you to a solution (quickhacks, attribute, perk)

      @Ultenth: Yes Dodge function is now directly bindable in the game settings menu and this mod has become useless in that regard. It still offers quality of life functions that i'm quite used to so i updated the mod anyway :P

      Note : You will still be able to browse dialog choices with mouse wheel but will have to press F/E to confirm your choice. I had to remove the 'confirm dialog choice with left click' function, because the bind is now shared with some other game functions (e.g. when using the mirror appearance changing UI, one click would close the UI right away, making it unusable).

      Enjoy !

    This does work and adds some nifty stuff, but I found it a bit of a hassle to tweak manually since it changes so many keybinds and functions. It's especially cumbersome that there is no version without the Mouse Button changes, since Right Click is used to unequip items/attachments and also used to untrack on the map and this mod creates a huge conflict. I had to go through the entire inputUserMappings and switch it around to exit with MiddleMouse instead.

      Hi Bokstavsbarn,

      Yes this mod is a primitive but reliable way to bypass some in-game binding limitations.
      Sorry, a version of the mod without "right click exit from everything" or without any mouse functions will not be made because i find it ergonomically inferior. However you are free to modify this mods files and publish your own version anywhere if you want.

      To assign the 'right click exit from everything function' to any other button, check the full method described below in response to bubin7766 :
      (direct forum link : https://forum.nexusmods.com/index.php?showtopic=9467378/#entry116026918)

    This works and then all of a sudden it corrupts something, I can fix it with verify integrity on steam, then the game opens again, but even if the files of this mod is still where they should be, it doesn't work. So I have to reinstall the mod, and after a few days, corrupt again. So i played a few weeks without this mod and I didn't have a crash, put it back in, and 3 days later, crash.

    Seems like I'm the only one with this problem, even on a fresh install with only this mod.

      Hi,

      It can't happen with simple config files added in your ~/r6/config/ folder.
      It can happen with a mod linked to a script layer like redscript, putting some information in cache on launch and preventing your game to be launched afterwards if something or the mod itself is missing. (e.g. when i didn't uninstall properly inputloader from my setup to make tests, I got this irreversible crash and had to do a clean install)
      And that's more or less the only thing that comes to my mind on the matter unfortunately, and i could have interpreted it wrong...
      If this is what is involved this should happen systematically when you restart your game after a launch with the new change, not randomly.

      If you just want the binds from DDP to work and you don't have other input mods needing inputloader, you could try to run DDP without the IL startup layer.
      For a fresh install : just extract /r6/config folder from this mod archive and copy it into your game folder, it will work right after a restore default operation and a restart.

      Cheers and good luck !
