The mod changes item_icons12.xbm which is completely different in 2.12a, so that's why it breaks the games icons.
If you know how to use WolvenKit you can delete the custom item_icons12.xbm from the Scope_2.archive files and repack it into an archive. That should fix it for now
If you don't know how to do that DM me and I'll share the file with you :). Until the Author fixes it ofcourse.
Just here to confirm that Always Best LOD can also break icons. The most current update changed the name of the file so if anyone still has broken icons and used Always Best LOD in the past double check if the Always_Best_LOD file is deleted (use the search bar in Windows File Explorer). The current, non-icon-destroying version is called Always_Best_Quality. I finally figured that out today because of the previous comment here. My icons have been broken for so long that I had completely forgotten what normal icons even looked like 😅 So thank you to GrK99!
I will add this though, it seems like this issue has been popping up more and more since 2.10 and is caused by some of the most seemingly random mods. 2.10 was when it first happened to me and I felt like I was losing my mind trying to figure it out. I *think* that time it was a clothing replacer of all things. Someone else I spoke with was also having this issue and figured out it had something to do with a cyberware mod for him 🤷🏻♀️.
I second this. Unfortunately, had to figure that one out the hard way of scoping through all four hundred of my mods lol. I hope to see this mod updated soon due to how well it fitted my guns.
Thank you so f**king much man!! I thought it was my game that was all jacked up, not my .json ICON files. I even reinstalled CP2077 because of this!! Many kudos n thanks!
Unfortunately the mod isn't working for me. I have latest update version + PL. I keep installing manually or via Vortex but the scope won't show up. Tried placing the item code via console and it is still not giving me the holosight. Please advise.
EDIT: nevermind, uninstalled preem scopes and got it to work
hey man, love the mod but it's causing some vanilla icons to bug out (see the bug report for details). Removing this mod alone fixes the issue. Hope you will have the time to check it out but it isn't a huge deal.

I have done my best to disable every possible way to credit the mod page since I can't contact the original author. But for ease of finding/seeing it.
