hmmm alright now i know its because i was using the 'Alternative skin material' mod :/
but now i have an odd issue where one specific mod variant file (the one which i first started the game with alternative skin material mod on), simply crashes the game. All the other files work, but not this one. Does anyone know a fix? Pretty frustrating since its this specific one that i actually want lol
The other issue I've found with certain body mods (I'm using a recently released "Enhanced Vanilla Body" vtk-based body with 4k textures) is the resolution and size of the tattoo is way off. You can barely see the textures and from my eye it's almost like it was shrunk in size. I was hopeful it would work because the mod I'm using is VTK based which is vanilla compatible.
Can't realistically hope for any update or an overlay but I appreciate the effort you made porting it over as I love theart design.
Now you have me wondering what body I'm running since I have both Spawn0 and UV Solo in my mods and I don't know what's actually relevant. I want to have these tattoos available with solo body and one of the cute backless dresses that I think requires Spawn0. Hopefully I can make the magic happen!
if they are .archive files, then the active body parts are the ones having "000"-"009" in the begining of the filename. Not sure if you can use partially both mods, but worth trying, ig.
such a great tattoo mod however, it does not swap w the valentino tattoo. is it because of the UV texture framework or something?
*update* I changed the archive file to 000 and it went to my chars left leg and the valentino vanilla tattoo was gone. any help would be appreciated :)
I'm using the Spawn0 body (maybe it doesn't work w this body), I've only tried the devil tattoo and female gender. I tried it on a fresh char and an old one too.
This is really confusing. If the way Spawn0 body loads tats is the same, it is supposed to stay on the back. With how far my modding knowledge goes (read "putting images into folders") we will need some more experienced folk here.
nahhh, its a fault in my part. I'll try to find a solution. Surprisingly, only tattoo mods that actually work are the overlay and face tattoos on my end
Looked into how uv overlays are layed out recently, and yeah, who would have thought, the uv body map uses right bottom corner of the tattoo texture for legs (one leg, actually), while original tattoo 01 uses it for back. Seems to be the reason of your problem. As to whether or not i will make them overlays... Dunno. First in the line is to make 03 replacer (which is quite ready, but just doesn't look as good, esp on fem!v). Then maybe, if i get a grip on how the uv modding is actually done, will make an overlay ver.
I loved the idea, but I have an idea that might make this mod even better.
I don't know if the intention from the beginning was to make the tattoo look like it was the stamped tarot card, but maybe it would look better if it didn't have the lines on the edge of the card, if it just had the image of each card. Maybe with a gradient on the edges instead of the lines... Who knows... Here's a suggestion...
Original images are the same as on the "With Text" pic. They are with edges. Removing edges, blurring them and stuff, is a lot of work, since some details overlap with edges and blurring them will f*#@ up all the artwork, or, some parts of the details, on the contrary, have been cut off with these edges, which means, if i remove edges, image will look incomplete and will require a lot of correction, drawing back what was cut off. And i am no artist (not that good anyway). So no, removing edges is way too much of a task here.
Yeah, like the tarot images we find in the city. I'd just screenshot em, and cut the image out. Paint.net does that stuff if you didn't have lots of money for image editing. You know: Paint Dot Net can do that stuff really quickly. We started using it back in the FO3 modding days.
Much easier is just to download png of the tarots from internet, they are already there. The thing is, in-game tarots are not to my taste in terms of tattoo, way too cartoon-ish/too saturated. Doesn't seem like too much work so, maybe, if I'm in the mood, will make. But as of now, not in the plans.
Even if i change the number of body tattoo it rewrites, you stil can choose only one, no? Also, every vanilla tattoo has it's own mesh. Like, if the original tattoo doesn't cover the back, i just can't put anything there, using that number. Another vanilla tattoo i can use is 03, but can you actually choose both 01 and 03 in the game?
No, but I just want to be able to switch between them or have them on separate characters without having to uninstall and install mods, a litte more tedious and less immersion but NP regardless :)
Ah, i see. Well, swapping all arcanas will be one hell of a work (considering i will update with ~13 more soon). BUT. I can make street kid set also using 03. Will do soon.
upd. thought on making a quick 03 remaster for street kid. took one more look on the map, and seems i got them confused. 03 has a full back mesh, but no legs, and is fit for making tarots on it, not street kid. will make 03 ver. for tarots, but will take some time, since it's 22 of them
Cool idea! But I don't like the framing of the cards and the title. Usually tattoos are rarely explained and signed. The mystery of the meaning is part of the idea.

Secondly, are you ever gonna do the tattoo to be an overlay? I think that would work on spawn0's body mod like the Bedellia's overlay tattoo mod.
