Bug/Problem: I installed this mod into the designated redmod "mods" folder in my Cyberpunk root dictionary, but it is not overriding the base game's Unity pistol model. Does it override a specific rarity of the Unity pistol (V's starting handgun), or was there a mistake in the modding process that caused it to override another handgun, such as the Overture (the revolver), the Lexington (the model used for V's iconic weapon, Dying Night), et cetera?
If it is of any help, I'm using the GOG version of the game.
The mod only affects the model itself, so it should be just the Unity, and nothing else that affects it. Double check if you have redMOD installed AND enabled in the launcher, thats the only thing I can think of.
Report/Fix: I double checked, and even reinstalled redMOD. I even went so far as to verify and repair the game's files, just in case something went wrong in the download. In the end, it was still not showing up in game.
I did find some help over on the E3 2018 Cursor post section, where someone else was having a similar problem. XILITY9 suggested placing the .archive file into the "Cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/mod," and not in the "Cyberpunk 2077/mods." I followed their advice with the Silverballer, and it loaded in-game.
I'm not sure what is going on with redMOD, but it seems to be having difficulty loading certain mods. This is not the first redMOD-designed mod that I've had this problem with, but - in my experience - installing redMOD mods to the "achive/pc/mod" seems to actually load them into the game.
DL;DR: If the Silverballer - or any other redMOD-based mod - is not showing up in your game when installed in the "Cyberpunk 2077/mods" folder, try installing the .archive file in your "Cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/mod" folder to see if that fixes it for you.
try install it manually, some mods just dont like to play nice with Vortex. simply put the archive file into ".../Cyberpunk/archive/pc/mod" and if u dont have that folder there, just create it urself. enjoy ^^
i really hope they will. hopefully we will able to add new animations and sounds as well. with cdpr going to ue5 then maybe they make the game engine open source?
