This is the way it should have been before getting a chance to meet Dex. Get a chance to hang with Jackie some, shooting up the place together instead of the rush job to get to the main story. The montage was great but should have been the start of V and Jackie earning their stripes to get to see Dex or at least make it an option to play it that way. Great looking MOD, awesome pics, will have to try this out.
i agree, this should have been the option from the beginning of the game, i mean when i first played this game and got to the part of the story where he dies, i wasn't as effected by it because the game skipped all of that getting to know him through actual bonding, my character was effected deeply, but as the player i didn't feel that emotion as i barely knew the guy because the game skipped all of that, but if the game allowed him to play alongside you more often in the beginning of the game, it would have hit much harder in emotion and meaning of his presence in the story.
i mean it sucks that this isn't exactly a mod, but it's better than nothing as it allows you to at least have this experience as the base game doesn't have this option outside of a few missions, but it's not like other games like skyrim or fallout where you can have companions travel and interact with you while you play.
maybe that will be an option in the future idk, but this is a good start, maybe someone will fully mod it into the game someday without needing this savegame in order to make it happen.
