This mod quite simply alters the weapon textures of some of the guns in the game to make them jet-black and glossy. It's not for everyone, but if you want a shiny black gun to take cool screenshots with, then you've come to the right place.
This mod will alter the appearance of ALL variants of a gun, so for example the standard Masamune and Prejudice will look the same, the only difference being that the decals will not have changed. I couldn't figure out how to make the Overwatch's suppressor black.
Making the textures in the game black and glossy is actually fairly easy to do, it just involves creating a mod file in Wolvenkit containing the meshes for a item you want to modify, packing it and opening it in HxD (or a hex editor of your choice), and looking for the file path in the file and removing a part of it, for example changing "ml_w" to "m _w". Essentially this process just "destroys" the current textures on a item, however it won't look black & glossy on every item. Just remember to back-up your files and be careful about which part you edit.
Thanks to Darktear for the guide on how to do this :)
Installation:
Place the .archive file(s) into your Mods folder, file path - GOG Games\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod
Uninstallation:
Remove the .archive file(s) from your Mods folder.
An additional file is included in Optional which also makes all scopes/sights black, I did try to make muzzle attachments black too but I couldn't get them to work, and don't know how.
