Take the radioinfo.json file and put it in the folder you have your metadata custom songs. For some reason mine was outside my custom radio station folder. This should fix. It worked for me.
Just to let you guys all know, 6 radio stations is risky but the most the game will tolerate and even then it will give you grief. 5 is feasible but still pushing it, 4 is what was shown in RadioExt page and considered the most you can get away with without the game dropping you hard.
It would be so nice if RadioExt had the damned /r6 necessary files. All my mods that function have it but the mod his one depends on doesn't so functionality is null and void until the original author of that mod would add /r6 into the folder.
Works perfectly for me amigo. No r6 needed since not a redscript mod. No offense but you should take a little time to understand what you're installing.
My guess, it's one of those really complicated mods that takes someone with a lot of smarts to install. I followed things but apparently there are certain steps that would require me to bother an expert on. I'm no nerd so apparently this mod is well beyond my comprehension and intellectual level. Just a simple geek who likes cool stuff so to self: Learn programming, get smarter.
Update: Screw me sideways, I figured it out after reading one guy's post on radioExt page and BOOM it worked finally! Apparently I corrupted the loader with bad directions that NexusGuy999 gave. The problem is the icon, not the mod, mod works fine. Too bad I breathed dragon's fire in his direction instead of using my head, he really doesn't want to talk to me, says I'm a straight up asshat.
EDIT: Solved. Turns out the radiosinfo.json is generated by another file. (Found this my looking in some of the other files). Turns out I had the radioExt.asi file in the wrong folder. I'd somehow got it in the Plugins\CET Folder, rather than in the Plugins folder.
Can't get this to work (even tried the example station from RadioEXT with no luck).
CET Gives the error:
[RadioMod] Could not find radiosInfo.json!
I Copied the metadata.json file to a manner of different locations with no luck. (RadioExt, RadioExt\Radios, and RadioExt\Radios\Radio X)
Repeated it all with the NcRadio and no luok.
Also made a copy of the file and renamed it radiosinfo.json. This stopped the error message but the radio was still not there.
I've scoured thw downloads and can't find a file called radiosinfo.json
Any suggestions? As this mod would be awesome if I can get it to work.
Hey, I've got 2 problems i've stumbled upon. 1. I can't see the radio station appear in my vehicle even though i've followed the guide close. 2. For some reason whenever I put mp3 files into my Radio X folder, the game wont boot up, however as soon as i remove the mp3 files from said folder, game boots up and works fine. please help.

Ive installed it correctly but the radio station will not show up. I also have RadioExt. I checked in cyberenginetweaks and it says the meta.json file could not be found.
EDIT : All good, I just found the file and moved it into the Radio X folder

Edit, theres a limit to how many songs you can add.
