I just did a complete/fresh reinstall (Steam) of my game (nuked all associated old folders+files; fresh re-downloads of all the mods I use; manual installs; no REDmod mods used).
Can confirm this mod is still working hella preem with 2.12a. ♥
Hey there! This definitely should still work, though I'm not yet updated to patch 2.1 to personally check. We can still troubleshoot, though. Two questions to start:
Were you using this before updating to patch 2.1 without any issues?
What do you mean by it's "not working" - does the regular vanilla game hair show up instead, does a different not-vanilla hair show up, is the color wrong, is there no hair at all, etc.?
I'm glad you're liking it for them! As a nonbinary modder, I sort of decided I needed to do better for masculine bodied V- there are plenty of nonbinary Vs, gnc male Vs and just cute male Vs in general that deserve some fluffier/cuter styles, too. So I'm going to try and make most future hair releases for both frames. <3
I love the hair; do you think you could do a big, puffy and long (Down to the bottom of your spine) low ponytail hair (I am well aware it will clip with outfits) with the messy bangs like from this mod? For both male and female.
I don't expect that I will be making that mod any time soon; too many projects on the to-do list already, I just don't have much time to mod these days.

Most probably - I know this was the case with most (if not all) other hair replacers that did not use Hair 1 (as it seems to be exclusive to V). There was this one shaved-sides ponytail mod, that was replacing Hair 15, and I know it appears on NPC's. And quite bugs out at that, not sure why.
Granted, I now have a problem - pick Claire's to occupy Hair 1, or Lizzy's? :D
Even Hair-1 is not entirely exclusive to V, some of the female Wraiths gangers also use it.
If you're concearned about the hair showing up on NPC's, then i'd try the Hair-19 version. I'm not sure why, but mods using Hair-19 sometimes won't replace NPC's hair, despite some NPC's using that same hairstyle. You can even check out if it works easilly, because the woman behind the counter at the "Time machine" junk shop in Downtown has that hairstyle, so you can go check there.
I currently have Lizzie's hair (from same author) installed in Slot-19, and it doesen't seem to replace NPC's hair. This one might not either.
As stated in the mod description, this hair mod should not have any impact on NPCs- if you notice it applying to anyone other than V, please let me know. This is true regardless of which hair you pick to replace- 1, 19, 37, 17, 33, they should all be safe.
This mod uses a method other than direct mesh swapping to get the hair onto V, and in doing so avoids touching the mesh/rig/animgraph files used by other characters. This is also true for my Lizzy hair mod, and I've updated my old All Tied Up hairs to also use this system. All of my V hairstyles should only impact V.
