btw, for anyone confused about how to get the mod working, you need to download both files then use the command (read what virgildevil sent below if you're confused on where to place the files)
As of this posting, the mod is working with no issues. Just follow Virgil Drake's instructions on how to install it. (Note it's been 2 years since an update, so while I don't expect change, this is mainly for any who are curious about the mod).
Pros—The design is actually kinda cool in a niche way, and the variants are all well done. It fits into Cyberpunk's aesthetic fairly well. The handling isn't too bad, and it's decent on speed and accel - but I also use Better Bike Overhaul 2.0.
Cons - It is a standalone mod, but built on the frame of a bike, and such; behaves like one. The sitting animation isn't matched well, and the bike doesn't seem to have been made with FPP driving in mind.
Overall a 7/10 if you get past the sitting animation and invisible motorcycle tires!
I think it's more than a 7/10. It's really fun to ride on, it FEELS like a hoverbike at times despite obviously being a janky motorcycle, the only thing that will take you out of the hoverbike vibe is the motorcycle engine sounds and the occassional tiremarks on the floor, but it actually handles off road etc just about as well as you'd like. It doesn't turn on a dime and it doesn't have a great top speed, but with vehicle modification shop, you can make it way faster.
It's also incredibly fun to add into traffic with Nova Traffic, even tho the NPCs don't sit on it QUITE right, a janky, cheap, fast hoverbike just fits so perfectly in Cyberpunk 2077.
I just think it's really fun and great. All it needs is a better sitting animation and more "hoverbike-y" sounds.
It is after all my own opinion, on my own note/review of this mod. BUT if I had to factor in the points you're making with your reply i.e. sounds, performance, etc - the score would actually come down to about a 5/10 (TBH I uninstalled the mod after making my original post).
7/10 > 6/10 reason: If someone is playing without VMS (Vehicle modification shop) like I do, then you'll need to install that mod as well as any requirements it may have, IF you want to alter it's performance in that way, and some people don't like rabbit hole modlists.
6/10 > 5/10 reason: Extreme immersion breaks having the "hoverbike" sound like a motorcycle when it is in fact possible to implement custom sounds for mods, then now, and moving forward it's possible. IDK about you but if I want something to "fit in" it needs to fully incorporate itself - sounds, animations, effects, and so forth. Yes this is purely subjective and borderline semantic; but all mod lists are. It's my game I'm playing lol.
Your anecdotal examples of what personally makes it fun for you, i.e. Nova Traffic and NPCs being involved with the bike, physically cannot effect my review as that's solely your experience with this particular mod. I installed it, played an hour or 2, then gave my review that I felt like giving.
IN CONCLUSION: I'm glad you're enjoying the bike man, just not for me - and your comment allowed me to vocalize even further what I could've/should've said originally. Thanks for the experience choom.
The mod works fine, there is just a small mistake in the command for the CTE. Follow the instructions as in the description. Download the 2 files in manual mode, Aether_files and aether. extract the files aether package, aether package and place the following files in the following folders.
xl file inCyberpunk2077\archive\pc\mod yaml file inCyberpunk2077\r6\tweaks place the archive inCyberpunk2077\archive\pc\mod
Once in game, you can use the following CET command to add it to your vehicle call list, here is the command to enter in the console

I love it
Game.GetVehicleSystem():EnablePlayerVehicle("Vehicle.v_sportbike3_brennan_aether", true, false)
it's literally just
Game.GetVehicleSystem():EnablePlayerVehicle("Vehicle.v_sportbike3_brennan_aether", true, false)
don't do this:
Game.GetVehicleSystem():EnablePlayerVehicle("Vehicle.v_sportbike3_brennan_aether", true
