This only changes the mesh for female V's pants. Unfortunately, a few items use the same mesh (shown in the screen shots), so all of those will be affected - but Male V is completely unaffected.
Don't know why it took so long to see this, but for anyone who reads this: the LATEST VERSION (UPDATE - 5/14/2023: v2.0) of this mod now only changes 1 particular pair of pants for Female without affecting ANY of the other items in the game (see Description for details).
For anyone who sees this: There's an ArchiveXL version now. The Single Item Replacer version is still up as an alternative, but this mod will no longer replace any base game items going forward.
With the ArchiveXL versions, you can either type Game.AddToInventory("Items.Q001_Pants_Original",1) into the console to get the item OR you can download the Virtual Atelier that puts it directly into the game.
@ EyeofCenter "Why these aren't actually in the game itself is something mortal minds aren't meant to understand." My guess is that they are a near exact copy of the below Vanson motorcycle pants (I had a pair in my 20's when I used to ride) and they didn't want to have to pay them for the rights to use them.
Well, I'll be damned. I never would have guessed. They still use the same mesh in the base game for other items though. The only difference is they recoloured them and made them look ridiculous. Guess that's one work around.
I suspect what really caused this was the fact that ArchiveXL / TweakXL hadn't been updated when this post was made, but I'm looking at this now and it works fine as of 2.1. For anyone who reads this and for future reference, item mods like these don't need to be updated. When a game update hits, we have to wait for ArchiveXL and TweakXL to be updated. These kinds of mods don't work without those utilities.
What are you talking about? I don't understand your question. The links to download the atelier are in the Description in case anyone wants to use it to buy the pants in-game instead of using the console. The atelier page lists this mod because it's one of the the ArchiveXL items included in that mod for in-game purchase.
To DreadfulSanity, I'm not sure what kind of graphic glitches you're talking about, but unless you have a mod that changes the base-game mesh this item uses, I've never seen reports of graphics/mesh glitches.
thanks for the update and that you still has the replacer version there (not a fan of all this xl, mods). any chance you will do that for shirt and shoes too?
Those aren't part of this mod. I haven't actually gotten around to doing those myself yet, but there are other mods on Nexus that give you those boots. You could try this one: E3 Femme V Leather Pants XL. It should have the boots as an ArchiveXL.
Equpping these in the outfit menu gave me a CTD for some reason. No idea why. Maybe cause there already are V's pants with the same name but different model saved in the outfits by default?
Why did it change all pants that look like V's pants? Gold, black, red, blue and so on look same with mod. Is it possible to change only V's black pants?
There's an ArchiveXL version now, so that probably won't be necessary. If you'd really like, I could probably replace the Solo pants too - but I'd have to comb through a totally different file for that.
Now that there's ArchiveXL, TweakXL, etc., why not re-create this as a unique item with its own identifier and not replace any existing items?
I think some would want to retain V's base pants and not have it replaced. They might want to have it and have this separate as well and then be able to switch between the two whenever the mood suits them. Honestly, I prefer that as well.

Got mad graphic glitches when trying it out just now. Not with this one.

I have the black and red ones that exist in the game, but can't find black only.
