Yeah, I came to report the same thing. I just installed this mod that toggles with the left shoulder button and now I can’t scroll with the d-pad. Please fix!
Is there any other mod to consider that provides a scan toggle?
If anyone else wants to fix this issue, remove this mod, and simply backup and then edit your inputUserMapping.xml file (in Cyberpunk 2077\r6\config) so it looks like this (look for vision toggle and hold related entries... and basically add IK_Pad_LeftShoulder to the toggle button section and remove it from the hold sections.
wish it would work for me. i just tried it again after seeing your post and i copied it exactly the way your screenshot looks and its still hold to scan
It works but I had to modify the hold button mapping (just below the toggle one) and remove the IK_Pad_LeftShoulder. Otherwise it won't trigger in game.
PS: if you're not happy with it & want original,, delete this INPUTUSERMAPPINGS .XML (gamepad user buttons bindings..), and VERIFY game files in steam/GOG, it will re-download the original.
I've wanted something like this for a long time, but now we have vehicle combat and it removes your ability to aim, as well as quick-melee on foot. Has anybody found a workaround?
Thx to report, fast, i sticked it too & added to description -> this switcher should be included in game menu options !! ... but it needs time & testing for a perfect gameplay, (too much references for that button in config file, unlike 1.X...., so dunno if it's CDPR priority ATM to polish details like this... (+ i restarted game for 2.0 coz too much changes, so not tested vehicle fights or even punching..)
for now i'll use it just as a walking NetRunner...... (=> don't use this mod for car fights, or melee..)
Finally broken. As of 1.6, the settings from this XML will still work to toggle the scanner, but break other UI controls, noticeably the ability to exit a computer or mini-game (the B button will not work and you will be stuck at the computer). Editing the new 1.6 vanilla inputUserMappings.XML as in the screenshot will also not work anymore; even if you copy/paste the scanner sections from this XML into the new one, the game will not respond to changes made to these lines. I extensively tested this, saving the file and setting it to Read Only, launching and re-launching the game to try and get it to work. The correct changes to the XML were made, they just don't do anything. Specifically, the controls for the new arcade games are what's breaking this. If you take this XML, from March 2021, and add the new arcade control section to it, that will break the toggle scan functionality but restore the ability to exit a computer screen. So, it is not possible to have both toggle scan and fully functioning minigame/computer UI controls. This mod is unfortunately busted now, a shame because I consider it indispensable. If anyone with coding know-how revives it you'll be a hero.
ok i don't get this at all i have everything exactly how it's supposed to be. cut the line out for holding it and put it under toggle exactly how it shows in the picture and it still does not work. i even tried using the controller remapper for toggling it and it STILL says binded and applied and has not changed...HOW...it's not under holding anymore so how does that even work? why do i still have to hold it??

swapping weapon (ONE BUTTON CLICK),
holdster weapon (DOUBLE BUTTON CLICKS),
OPEN Weapons/gears/punch radial menu (HOLDING BUTTON PRESSED).
Normal gameplay for weaps.. in 1.X,
