Using Luke Ross' VR mod it won't load the PD80 shader, and when I drop it into the Shaders folder directly, it fails to compile. I was able to get Clarity to load by dropping it into the Shaders folder, but not PD80. Hmmm
THE way to play Cyberpunk 2077 in VR when you're not on the highest-end PC budget and still want really good visuals.
I'm playing Cyberpunk VR on a Shadow PC (Power tier), an RTX A4500 (description says, somewhat equivalent to an RTX 3070 ti) and after fiddling and tweaking with Virtual Desktop, the Shadow's (network) settings and with the overlay menu of Luke Ross' mod, I got it to work quite well – performance-wise. I was a bit 'disappointed' at first with the graphics, but loved the gameplay nonetheless. Didn't expect much from the visuals to begin with. The in-car scenes were great, but wide open environments were no fun to look at. A typical problem with open worlds in VR, I remembered.
BUT with your reshade ... damn, it's a game changer. I can't believe how good this looks now, without the performance taking a hit. Cyberpunk VR is a blast to play now – the definitive way for me. The VR gaming world must know. Will annoy everyone with the news who only blinked at Cyberpunk 2077 for 2 seconds.
Thank you, it's probably the best reshade for Cyberpunk out there! Though, did I do something wrong or is there a more significant impact in performance than 0-3FPS drop as stated? Sometimes that can be true but other times in some locations like Afterlife, will have a 10-15FPS drop. When the reshade is turned off, it's around 50fps and it drops to 35ish with the reshade turned on
im in the same situation, it looks great ! but im getting a lot worse than 0-3 fps drops when compared to no reshade, around 10-15 as well. i wonder if theres some setting or configuration that i should change to bring up performance ?
Its definitely something i did but, anyone ever have the issue where the game is crashing at the start after they install reshade? My game runs fine when i uninstall reshade but once i install it crashes at the first splash screen. Ive been using this mod for months no problem. I also have the latest version of reshade (5.9.2) as far as im aware and never had a problem before lol.
i was having the problem when i checked all the boxes no matter the version 5.9 or 6.1 if i checked all boxes it would crash on first splash screen, i just left it to the default 2 first boxes i believe then no issue
its absolutely gorgeous great job! i don't notice and performance loss or anything like that, looks incredible im using it with nova lut 2.2 and raster env, its stunning colors absolutely pop to
There is a noticeable darkening around the edges (vignette?), how do I remove it? I don't see any apparent vignette effect to turn of in the reshade menu.
The game itself has a vignette that can't be turned off without mods unfortunately. There's really no work around with using only reshade. I run my reshade with a vignette removal mod too.
I use https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/9276... though it should be noted that the vignette and sharpening features are in files that cause clashes with many other mods (eg weather)... many of these have a version that has this in it though; this mod is just for if you don't use any of those only want these changes.
