Doesn't seem to matter which one I spawn Both normal and militech basilisks give the EXACT same stacktrace.

It's just so you can sit down lower in the basilisk. I prefer it because when you're in the vehicle with panam, you sit down lower before actually driving it. The camera is just floating above your head. With this mod, you can lower your POV back down in front of the screens, and just enough to see out of the canopy. It's just more realistic in my opinion and worthwhile.
In my case, Better vehicle first person causes the same problem as the basilisk : if you use the T key while inside every vehicle, you will be stuck and unable to play = reloading a save is the only issue. More, the icons in the screen left corner are gone, only the speed meter is avaliable.
It's clearly a pitty cause both mods could be very usefull together, but hey^^
PS : I've forgotten, also : better vh 1st person cause other glitches, probably script/mod conflict= vh weapon do not activate (error message IG "can't do this right now") + makes the game stuck in 3 occasions :
when going out of Arasaka tower inside delamain, impossible to target drones cause player's body can not be in front of them
when goro takemura give's payer a gun to kill the motorcycle guys, player's body is facinbg the floor of the car = impossible to use the gun
in the gaz station searching for Hellman, once carrying Hellman's body, the body is hold with the two arms instead of one usually and the gun in the right hand = impossible to acess command to open the first door
So I had no choice to uninstall the mod. Once done, all the problems are gone once and for all.
I triggered 5 stars before entering Basilisk, and the MaxTAC tried to locate and explode my vehicle. Differ from the common driving experience, the locating time bar did not show up on the screen. When the Basilisk began to explode, the game crashed. Did CDPR make the model of exploded Basilisk? If not, then Basilisk should be designed not able to explode.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or mechanism for this vehicle. Enemies' detection of V and any attack become so small that I can't trigger the battle or wanted state unless they are almost under basilisk. The only exception so far is NCPD units at 3 or more stars.
Also, the damage of Basilisk's weapons is mysterious. Its damage on normal people or other vehicles is somewhat close to NCPD's Man o' War, but it can take down Maxtacs within the same rounds (by percentage?).
In both these cases, the game mechanics are the issue here. The Basilisc was never intended for use outside of scripted storyline in the game. I won't spoil it here for those that may have not got that far yet. There used to be a different method of being able to use the Basilisk but that has since been removed from the game. The upside was that the cops or other factions could chase you and you could gain a wanted level, the down side was that if you hopped out of the Basilisk in battle, one of the enemy would hop into the Basilisk to chase you, flatlining the game.
Ran into a bug where after using the basilisk then trying to spawn my car, my game crashed. After that, upon reload it didn't spawn anything. so i reselected my car and it worked that time. Just wanted to let you know, since it was technically a game-breaking error. May have been related to the fact that I may have had a basilisk out there that i didn't despawn?
Thanks. I've had one or two more issues again, usually when I've used a basilisk and a car in some kind of frequency. Not sure the exact way it crashes but seems like an issue with the spawn vehicle system interfering with the basilisk spawn system, or vice-versa
Hi, the Basilisk no longer works with the let there be flight mod since 1.4. Is there a way to create a workaround? Saw it in this video and it looked very cool...
Hi, I'm on ver 2.1 and the mod works fine, the only problem is that seems like the basilisk isn't listed as a vehicle or something as the enemies didn't spawn and engaged vehicle combat when they supposed to. I did tested it a few times and can be quite sure about this
A new version 1.6 has been uploaded. There are a few changes. Updated for Game Patch 2.1 and the lastest CET. Ability to assign a key to change between one of 3 Basilisk types. Remove the block on being able to spawn or use a Basilisk while you have a wanted level.

dispawn need clear and set normal car
