The purpose of this mod is to allow modders to test their mods related to meshes, appearances etc, after the testing it done, individual cookedapps removal is recommended, don't use this mod unless you have to use someone else's mod(if this acts acts as a dependency). It will only cause issues, its only useful for testing.
No. Lunxara - UPDATE!!!! As of 2.0 this mod is no longer required as CDPR have removed .cookedapp files from the game, given that they've done this this mod will receive no future updates or support and should be removed from your game files unless you're running the legacy 1.63 build
Some great news!!!, thanks to permission from Hitman I'll be providing updates for this mod from now on here Please continue to show love and support on this mod page though Hitman deserves it <3 I've also changed the link in my other post in the comments for the 1.62 Update to redirect to the new mod page
Note states that it's unavailable whilst it's being updated. I expect Lunxara's hidden the page while they're updating the mod so they don't have to deal with questions about when it'll be updated.
Yeah I'm currently working on updating it for 2.0, I'll either have the update released by today or tomorrow ^^
Edit: As of 2.0 this mod is no longer needed as the game no longer seems to contain .cookedapp files, so be sure to remove it from your game. The Mod page will be left available for those that choose to still use the Legacy 1.63 Build
I remade the mod for 1.61 because of all the superstitions, I had the melting faces bug and this was seemingly the only solution. The archive turned out to be the exact same size as the posted 1.5 version. If you compare the .archives though they are different. Don't know what has changed but here it is: CookedAppsNulled 1.61
The method for remaking it is as follows.
Spoiler:
Show
1. Make new project in wolvenkit and search for .cookedapp in assetbrowser. 2. CTRL + A to select everything in the list, right click and add them all to the project 3. Use mod browse and look for this mod 4. do the same with 1 file over from the mod, replacing the default if necessary and open it in explorer, sort by size to find it easier. 5. Copy and paste this new file into a new folder and copy and paste it 4199 times, using CTRL + A, CTRL + C and CTRL + V 6. Using Advanced Renamer, drag and drop the original files into it. This will take a minute. 7. Click Add Method and then List if it doesn't exist. Then click populate. The list should be on the left now. 8. Now click on the right side list underneath Rename Files and press CTRL + A and then Delete 9. Drag and drop the file that was copied 4199 times into Advanced Renamer and click Start Batch skip erroneous files when that shows up. 10. Replace the old files with the new ones you just made and then build the mod in WolvenKit.
Has your version of this been a solid solution? If so.. Do I need the original and yours acts as a patch? Or is yours standalone? Can anyone confirm if this new version is still working after the strange update drop yesterday?
I just wanna state I can confirm that this mod appears to need a new update for 1.62 as they seem to have renamed a lot of the cookedapp files, I might look into doing it but it seems like this mod is one hell of a process to update ;v
for now, i disabled this mod along with the mods that requires it(mainly old Apzurv clothing/npc replacers) due to apparently causing npc's to glitch out.
Quite honestly, you don't need this mod for any mod to work. I don't have this mod, but I've been using clothing mods that list it as requirement without any problems.
I still hope that the author will update it, because this is very much a module that I can't do without, but the annoying flickering is a real headache.

Issues with the author?
