Woohoo, still working as advertised, with the recent/new game Patch 2.21 update! \o/ ♥ (Steam ; Manual installs)
Though admittedly, I stopped using this with Patch 2.2, since CDPR added a new "Already Read" tag to read shards (in the pop-up tooltip), but then I reinstalled it again for Patch 2.21 since I started getting annoyed seeing shards from far away only to find out I already read it, after I ran up to it, LOL!

Reminder: If you haven't already done so, make sure you update all your "core-mods" (i.e. ArchiveXL, Codeware, Cyber Engine Tweaks, etc etc), as well as checking if any of your other mods need updating for the recent/new game Patch 2.21 update. Also, always turn ON your mod TRACKING when you use a mod (next to the Endorse button). Then you are notified of mod updates immediately when you log into the Nexus!
Quick question; What's going to happen if I uninstall the mod? Do all random shards reappear? Or do they remain gone? Just wondering.
Mod works great, by the way. All those not-so-interesting, already read shards which got million copies spread around the Night City, gone. Loving it :D

Say, there's a shard call ALPHA(which has many, many copies in the world without this mod) and after I installed your mod, have collected one ALPHA shard which makes other ALPHA shard copies to disappear from the game. Now, if I uninstall your mod at this point, are other ALPHA shards, them I have not physically picked up, would appears back? Or do they stay gone?
Can't thank you enough! I'm sort of collector(or a hoarder) who picks up EVERYTHING that is placed in the game world. This mod is going to lift a serious load off of work for me. Bless you and I curse myself for not finding this mod sooner :(
actually, the hideshards give me an error, game just says about something which i don't even use (the hud fix) and yes, Codeware, TweakXL, ArchiveXL, redscript, RED4Ext are all updated and running fine (without this mod)... so i don't know wtf is going on :/
Couldn't help but notice the mod is unable to remove nearby read shards while you're still in the same area. Good examples of this are the GIM in Pacifica, there was some shard there about the mall grand opening I think that I found in at least 3 different spots there. And the Animals boxing warehouse, there's 2 or 3 there about Fighting Moves A-Z or some such. Not that it is a big problem or anything, just thought I'd share if it made some people think the mod wasn't working or something.
That how it works by design btw, shards can be controlled only when spawned and if you are already in location then shards state will be refreshed only on next visit
Of course, I didn't doubt that it's supposed to work that way. I just had no way of knowing ahead of time if this is normal behavior, so initially it had me believe the mod wasn't working. I was just saying I think it's a key thing for users to know.
I'm still waiting a few days, until I update to 2.13 (Steam). With every major update, I usually like to wait a few days, and see if mod authors pump out any updates. :)
I noticed that the Shards sometimes come back up and then dissapear again, maybe changing the open shard for something invisible might do the trick? Idk

Also delete the HudSizeFix which mentioned in the popup error text.
EDIT: Seems to also be working fine with yesterday's 2.12a PC update. ♥
