   I figure since no one else has said it I will. There is no such thing as "assless chaps", ALL chaps have no ass so there is no "assless variant" they are just chaps.

   I followed the instructions, but the shorts still show up as regular shorts when I equip them.

      There might be a mod conflict, try to disable some clothing mods (especially when they use multiple items in one mod, modular ones, etc) and try again.
