    Hi,

The mod is no longer compatible with 1.3 game version requiring Redscript v0.3.0-RC1 version:

Thx in advance for the update :D

Unfortunately from what I can tell, CDPR completely broke recon grenades in 1.3. I can't get them to work with or without the mod. The class I was modifying to add the extra functionality has also been removed from the game's codebase, so right now, it's looking like until the next patch for CDPR, recon grenades (and, by extension, Better Recon Grenades) are just busted. But I'll tinker a little and see if there's any option for re-enabling recon grenades...

Yeah... unfortunately doesn't look like there's anything I can do here. I submitted a bug to CDPR... we'll have to rely on them to fix this.

Is it possible to apply "enable Breach effect" on enemies with this? I'm using Better Netrunning mod ( that disable hacking enemies unless you breach access points), and while it works great in some situations, for others it was not really built for it.
Maybe so it is a timed duration? ( would be great if this was also for cameras and turrets)

Possibly... I'll look into that, though personally I feel it would make the grenades a little OP, and kind of defeat the purpose of the Better Netrunning mod. (Effectively you're using the Better Netrunning mod to disable remote hacking of enemies, then using the grenade to add remote hacking of enemies back.)

The way I see it, as something that's used more as limited form of Breach next to standard version with Access points..so this way, netrunning still has some combat/stealth utility in more straightforward enemy encounters.
Basic idea: player can throw a device/"grenade" in the area that for a very limited duration gives ability to Breach anything in AoE. This also places enemies into Alert status, so player has to be quick, take a window of opportunity.
This way you'd have to be more tactical about it: "luring" as many enemies into certain spot, avoid detection and close in to throw grenade...but if you fail ( you're discovered or fail Breach), your cover is blown. So you'd have to be smart/quick about it.
Better Netrunning mod either makes Breach/quickhacks useless in some situations ( old version), or you can simply use it on enemies instantly from a large distance( in areas without access points.. like it always works in vanilla game).
Hope this explains it...I like the idea of player "earning" ability to hack enemies ( by bypassing enemies, drones and cameras, to reach access points), than just looking at them and using quickhacks as "magic spells" with cooldowns.
Edit: Maybe as a separate mod?
So it uses Gash Antipersonell grenade ( by editing those red lasers effects to blue?), that deals no damage, but allows Breach on enemies in it's AoE.
This would probably work best with mod that makes Breach go on "live", without freezing time, and reduces time you have for it ( there is already mod for it)

This also places enemies into Alert status, so player has to be quick, take a window of opportunity.

But recon grenades don't place enemies into alert status... That would make recon grenades even more useless for people who aren't playing the specific way you want to. For example, I use them to plot a path by which I can either kill all enemies in an area, or run past them all, WITHOUT alerting them. If the grenade alerted them it'd make it completely useless for me.

It sounds to me like you want a completely different mod than just "better recon grenades"... it sounds like you want "better better netrunning". I would suggest making this request on that mod instead of this one, since your request is very specific to the fact that you're using that mod and would make this mod useless to anyone who isn't using better netrunning. Because, to be completely honest with you - figuring out how to do the "enable Breach effect" is going to be a lot of work since nothing's documented and it would take me hours digging through code to find it, and to be able to even test if it works I'd have to install and become familiar with Better Netrunning, change my character to have a deck again, figure out how better networking works from a player standpoint... It's a lot of work for a mod to someone else's mod when the author of that other mod probably knows how to do everything you're asking already.

If they are willing to do it and need advice on how to attach the effect to the recon grenade, I can work with them to answer their questions.

    Very good idea!
i love Sandevistan but not having ping can be a real pain and the vanilla grenades are just terrible.
With this mod it might actually become a viable strategie for more people :)

Thanks! I use them a lot but was really annoyed by the small radius and lack of camera/turret highlighting.
