Good job with this one, after trying all the popular shaders, the night times looked great, but the day times just didnt sit right with me and were much too bright or kind of washed out in a sense. I was also suffering for 20-30fps drops but still landed me above 60 so just rolled with it.. This one definitely makes the colours pop on a decent monitor when following the gamma settings shown in the screenshots, very happy with the daytime result and glad to see someone is after the same effects and feel as I am! My fps is sitting above the 70's @1440 max settings (DLSS) so this is definitely the one I'm going with - I get a very good quality with vanilla anyway but this reshade nails the 'pop' I wanted, very good job! (pic with my Kusanagi should be up soon).
Hello again, what settings would you recommend altering (inside reshade) to give me a bit more darkness with night time/shadows? or would that simply be mainly gamma based? I will have a play around later on to see if I can dial something in but don't really know where to start with the huge plethora or sliders on reshade.. thanks in advance
one of the settings i recommend tinkering with, is the the easiest, the gamma XD and the other can be, inside of reshade menu, there's "Shadow Midtones and Hightlights" shader, you want to adjust the shadows, blacks and maybe add a bit of highlights too, because part of what makes the nights feel darker, is the neon signs brigher than the "ground" honestly i'm not an expert in the arts of color grading i do most of the stuff playing with the sliders too hahaha, but i hope you can tweak it to your likings! let me know if there's any doubt, and thanks trying out my mod :D
Thanks for the reply, I've found my personal preference for gamma being between 1.2-3 and may need to tweak the bloom radius down a bit in reshade as the bright white is looking a bit funky on the gamma screen, turning the bloom fx off and it goes away, so shall try some tweaking tomorrow :) Thanks again!
