wasnt working for me either. no errors in the log, but for some reason johnny's ID is 10596 in my game. changed it to this in init.lua and it works now. however he still shows up if you pet the iguana, unless that is intended behavior

interesting ... under the same conditions I have 10537 ... both before and after Chippin' In (there is one new dialogue option after it)... are you using version 2.21?
also what is the rest of the message "Remove Johnny in NPCPuppet:OnPostInitialize" printed by mod to CET console for your Johnny (while using mod with 10596 id)?
I have Johnny on silent and (shut up Johnny Mod) and it's pretty funny seeing him but not hearing him as you respond. I think you can even set him to invisible through AMM if you want the full effect
Honestly, a part of me thinks this is a really great mod. Every time I come home from work, dude's just sitting on my couch, playing guitar and watching TV.
I just don't think I can bring myself to kick out my roomie, though. Dude's been through some stuff.

i am using 2.21. it could be another mod making changes to him, though i can't think of any in particular that affect johhny or his questline
