    If you're worried about stability, use the tweak method instead (example of how I did it for NC2) which is just a simple .tweak file in r6/tweaks folder.

        float realTimeMultiplier = 8.0;
    }

    Adjust the multiplier value to your liking. 8 is default (1 minute in real time is 8 minutes in game), 1 would be real time.
