Important! Anytime you're updating, always first uninstall the current groups in the objects folder located in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\mods\entSpawner\data\objects Can also delete the objects folder altogether. Anytime you let the new files overwrite the current files, your game'll crash. Always first uninstall the current files, then install the new files.
17 April 2025: Update: Added a viaduct in the Biotechnica area. Place the bin folder into your Cyberpunk 2077 folder and you're good to go. Remember to read the description before installing, especially the bit about flying over these groups.
29 April 2025: Hey folks, for those that approaching the Laguna Bend Connection crashes the game, for now, deselect the AUTOSPAWN of group (6.2) Laguna Bend Connection in the SAVED tab. [Fixed in 1.1.4]
04 May 2025: Update: 1) Large group with 3 connections added. Take one of your favorite vehicles and hop on a stroll trying to find it. 2) Fixed Laguna Bend Connection. Hopefully, it won't crash your game anymore.
08 May 2025: Update: 1) Overpass into Dogtown added. Nice and smooth unhindered in & out. 2) Made some changes to the Laguna Bend Connection as it sometimes did still crash when passing by with max speed.
Are the differences in textures/lighting compared to the vanilla roads just a quirk of World Builder? Is there a way (i imagine it'd be a lot of work if so) to make the roads look the same as vanilla? Very ambitious work, I love the idea of this mod and it's got me curious.
Haha, thanks. No, what the devs used to draw those roads, is to my guess a sort of a "paint brush", with which they can draw all kinds of strokes in any directory they want. I used bits and pieces of buildings.
I see! That's a rather interesting solution, hopefully one day World Builder will have the functionality to create roads in a similar way to the devs. Do you think the graphical flickering is caused by the assets you placed, or maybe because these "roads" go far past where the developers expected us to drive?
No, the graphical flickering is caused by the fact that these groups consume practically all the very precious little graphics memory left available for the game to utilize. The groups are actually way too big. Any bigger and the game'll crash.
I made them this big so as to having to manually swap them as little as possible. But that was before I found out about the autospawn feature...
My condolences... I know the feeling of missing a program feature and it costing hours all too well. Given what you've said, is it possible for a future iteration of this mod to have smaller groups, and therefore, no flickering? It would probably necessitate a remake, so a lot of work, but I suppose I just want to know if it's possible. Imagine a version of your mod with NPC traffic pathing and consistent visuals with the base game - this is just my opinion, but I think it would be extremely popular, especially with all the vehicle mods in the community.
On mine, with a 4090, the flickering already started beyond some 1100 - 1200 KB of graphics memory consumed. So that would mean that each group must never exceed some 550 KB. That's very small and easy reached within 10 minutes.
About adding moveable traffic and the like, I think that when groups this big come into close proximity of a lot of crowds and or traffic, the game instantly crashes, and maybe even keeps crashing.
I drive a lot on these roads, and it never crashes. ...Until you go back to the city to the heavily occupied places. The moment you step out, it crashes. So you're immediately taught to always save before stepping out.
But it does tell that traffic, and especially crowds are a real computing resource guzzler. So, combined with these... I don't think so.
