As a suggestion, consider placing a melee vendor in the City Center—maybe in the small parking lot above the Time Machine record shop. That way, the parking lot would actually have a purpose, since there’s currently no logical reason to go there and no direct path on foot. Another option could be placing a vendor in the alley behind the record shop.
Or a vendor in the nearby Reconciliation Park area. You’d have to get there on foot, which adds a bit of exploration and gives the spot more purpose… perfect for some shady, razor-sharp deals ;)
Thanks for the suggestion. I stumbled upon that car park the other night and had no idea it was on top of The Time Machine! Almost 1,600 hours and I'm still learning bits of the city lol.
City Center could certainly use a melee vendor and I like the idea of near The Time Machine, it's a great location. I think the car park is a bit tricky to access so I'm looking at the alley.
Maybe one in Charter Hill, since most of the innocent neighborhood is all clean and high class, people need to cut things in style. Some luxury knife vendor for some 'sharp solutions'.
There is a mid section of this building. To get there, you just follow the stairs. I’ve never actually been to this part of the building, since there’s no actual objective that takes you up there (at least I think so). But the spot is great for more vertical exploration—even if it’s a bit odd for a melee weapon vendor, with all the NPCs around. There’s a magazine shop you can enter from the side—maybe there’s an optional behind-the-counter shady knife vending operation going on?
Alternatively, maybe the nearby pedestrian tunnel could work.
> Even looks like the spot is made for this specific mod with the props around.
Yeah, I played with a few spots but when I put him on that box it was perfect.
That part of Charter Hill is great to explore on foot with the multi-level building opposite that has the NCART station, the bridge over the road, the underpass through to a shoreline cafe and several unmarked vendors. I like the observation deck on that building but there doesn't look like many interesting places to sit. Maybe behind the counter in the news stand or skulking behind a pillar would work.
