I'll be releasing a new version this week, which will be a new addition to the game, rather than a replacement for this original Cyber Kart.

I dont think I'll be changing this original version, apart from a couple of mesh updates and fx alignment corrections. The original spirit would be lost if I do anything else.
As mentioned in your comments, if you don't want Johnny on board, please try a Johnny vehicle removal mod, but his being there was always a must for me, and where he should sit.
All I can tell you about the new version, is it takes the Cyber Kart to a whole new level of insanity and fun!!! Watch out for the release this week.
I was wondering if you could add support to the mod for https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/4034 Because when I upgrade the car and call it in, it decides to put me back into the menu the mod linked has for the upgrading, therefore glitching out and putting me in the MaiMai then when I close out of the menu it de-spawns the MaiMai that was already spawned within the kart causing me to violently glitch out acting like I'm still inside the maimai and crashes into the invisible car sending me up into the sky at speeds of 0-300 repetitively. no doubt I find the kart absolutely fun and the best mod I've installed yet, I just wish I could give the car more handling and not allow it to spin out constantly going various speeds.
i remember at least one mod which allows for some rifles and shotguns to be used in vehicle combat :P i was thinking about something like that in combination.. anybody got a specific recommendation?
To be honest with 360' ability for V to shoot, I didn't see the need to add bumper cannons. There's no reason you can't combine this with one of the non-restricted guns V can use in a car mod. I'll have a look at what I can unlock for this, specifically for the Cyber Kart. If it's possible I'll add it as an update.
If I do make a weaponised version it would no longer be based on the MaiMai, as the micro car doesn't have any weapons. Perhaps a Nomad version might be born from the Badlands, but that would be a new mod entirely. I have started my next vehicle mod, which is weaponised, but isnt a kart.....
regarding the new and potentially weaponized vehicle: how about some weapons IN THE BACK? afaik there is no car in the game which can shoot back and MisterChedda just released this mod which would pair perfectly Weaponized Vehicle Recoil :D ...
I am in no way objecting to or complaining about this mod. I love it as-is. That said, I could totally see a pair of jury-rigged guns with ammo boxes strapped to the metal rails by the front tires, and a jury-rigged launcher behind the exhaust. Though the launcher may be a bit much given it would throw off the weight and handling if you made it realistic.
It uses the standard MaiMai gear ratios, so there was no need to add additional overrides. You can of course add your own to the cyber_kart.yaml in the r6 tweaks folder.
I'm happy to make an additional file with the gear tweaks in there, that replicate the MaiMai. You can then tweak as you wish. I'll add this with the next model update, later this week.
Edit: i wanna mention regarding "It uses the standard MaiMai gear ratios, so there was no need to add additional overrides." - afaik that would be the case as long as it also use the MaiMai sounds. as soon as we change the sounds we should use the gear ratios from the sound-source-vehicle, shouldnt we? i mean in the end it comes down to preference ig :)
ps: just wow! this is incredibly well made! power is good as is imo, handling is a fun challenge. the engine/tire sounds, animations etc fit perfectly and i LOVE the old/rusty textures (many car mods look a bit too clean)! easily one of the top most unique car mods on the nexus! only thing im personally missing now is a speedo in first person.. :P btw i am using this mod with Car Modification Shop (CMS) stage 3 tires and stage 1 short shifter - and True Grip, Dynamic Downforce & Gravity and ofc CyberTrials! makes for an awesome combo, can recommend!

i used to wonder if theres ways to remove Johnny from just one car with tweaks, theres car specific lines regarding passenger min/max count but Johnny spawned even when i set them to zero. let me know if you find a way! for example the BMW M3 GTR mod only features one drivers seat and johnny floating next to you^^ users of that mod might appreciate a solution too!

Johnny at the back means you can only enter the kart from the left hand side, however the original version is not affected by this.
