    I can confirm that this mod works really well paired with improved distant shadows and nova city, the game looks incredible on RT off  thank you for your amazing work and your dedication in trying to make this game better !

    My lighting experience s#*! the bed the moment I installed this version.
    Really violent shadow flickering all over the place.

    7975wx on a 5090 Astral - all settings maxxed, PTNext - just an overall bad experience.
    Going to roll back and spend some time watching the comments.

    I am envious, I get an ntdll ntwaitformultipleobjects crash, but I doubt it is related to the mod itself, since I updated my drivers away from 566.36 I can only use vanilla pathtracing, tho it might also just be a kind of incompatibility between the advanced path tracing mod and the fix shadows mod
    i am also too lazy to downgrade the driver again and hope nvidia soon offers a more stable driver without race conditions or similar, crashing on my particular hardware architecture
    perhaps I should just try the rollback as well as trying to use it witouth advancedpathtracing

      There are no compatibility issues with Advanced PT mod. And this crash does look very unfamiliar to what the game usually likes to crash with

      hmm I think I will try to locate the issue and check how it behaves with just those two mods installed, after all it might just be some other mod that does stuff with how PT interacts with objects
      but for me it never crashed before moving from 566.36 to 572.83, but also can't be 100% sure
      what made it crash was using medium PT settings, where SHARC or something gets disabled
      it would crash if I changed clothing, somewhat randomly when wearing, also sometimes the moment the engine loads a game and starts setting up the graphical environment internally
      but I am using quite a few things that change a lot of "hacks" the devs implemented to gloss over minor graphical issues with the non RT/PT graphics and can imagine that causing issues as well with other PT implementations

      in my experiences the ntdllwaitformultipleobjects only happens when issues with PT are there
      in worst case, I at least know on what driver I don't have these issues

      I am not yet on my way to dogtown, but I am dreading that tunnel whose shadow looks so broken

      have rolled back and don't experience issues anymore, the ntdll ntwaitformultipleobjects/bad pointer from cyberpunk.exe happened once more after several hours of playing, it just seems that particularly path tracing interacting things made it happen more often for me
      now the advanced PT settings that were very unstable on the newest driver just work and i can finally have the shadow fixes
      if other people experience similar crashes and looking at their dump files, driver rollback might be a solution

      sunshineacid, I have given up on Advanced Path Tracing due to hitching and frame drops. I have over 300 mods installed, so finding the culprit was a nightmare. 

      Honestly, APT High Preset + SHARC looked ever so slightly better than native, if not a placebo effect and introduced more ghosting.

      572.83 seems the most stable for me on a 4090. I play at 4K maxed out with DLSS-Q.

      Theft? Crap? It is loud statements. Dare to explain your wording? Did I missed some drama, any proofs?

      Personally I use General Shadows Fixes along with Advanced Path Tracing and doesn't noticed any issues with that combination (currently on v572.60 studio driver).
      As for me, vanilla Path Tracing is already good enough and Advanced Path Tracing is just gives more control over PT settings and ability to set higher quality modes with capable hardware. And no, it doesn't make coffee for you, but I'm fine with that.

      with ATP you get better image quality, better fps , less crashes, and a fast not crashing photomode. you better drop ultra+ if you want a stable good looking solution , install cofigure once and forget about it.
      And the autorefresher is very helpful. It solves all that fps and stutering when going out of menus or photomode.

    Would it be possible to fix the flickering shadows in car interiors?

      This only happens with default RT and raster due to the limit on the amount of local shadows in the scene. After 1.5 patch they enabled local shadows for every car's headlight, so it hits this limit really often. You have your own car's headlights, street lamp and another one or two cars casting shadows as well. The only way to fix this would be to decrease shadow fading distance or straight up disable them for most cars.

    Appreciate your work! Can you make me hopes there is a way to fix these ugly vegetation shadows casts on palm trees and cacti?

    Мод топовый, фиксит очень много косяков, вообще не помню уже когда встречались какие-то мерцания/подргузки теней перед лицом, спасибо за очередную крутую работу!) теперь почти играбельно стало))

    Осталось по сути всего два бесящих графических глича в игре.

    Вот первый:

    Очень всрато при приближении к деревьям как-будто включается "подсветка" и они меняют освещение, становятся светлыми. Слишком сильно бросается в глаза при реальной игре, можешь сам днем в пустоши скататься, явно тоже заметишь все это. Твой мод на лоды зелени и wind begone никак это не исправляют, увы. Это как-то можно пофиксить?

    Ну и второй момент - черные пятна на одеждах некоторых неписей и бандосов, в частности на камуфляжах шестой улицы. Выглядит как-то так: https://ibb.co/TD5k77zz . Пробовал фиксить этим модом + модом npc tweak lod, опять же, безрезультатно :( мб есть какой-то способ, ну не знаю, допустим "переодеть" шестую улицу в форму милитеха? :D оба этих глича если что завязаны на освещении с трассировкой лучей, при ее отключении все это фиксится, но фикс такой себе..

    Энивей, спасибо за все полезные и актуальные моды и твою титаническую работу <3 бесячих косяков осталось по минимуму, уже вполне можно играть и наслаждаться игрой без крови из глаз от кринжовых графических гличей и нищей дальности прорисовки/лодов. Ну и да, грац с покупкой хорошей видюхи)))

      Привет! Ну да, знаю об этих проблемах - и это далеко не всё, к сожалению... Только CDPR могут исправить. Но надежды нет, за патч 2.0 какие-то идиоты отвечали, которые надобавляли столько проблем визуальных без причины конкретной, что хочется повеситься.

      Понятно, грустно такое слышать( значит, по всей видимости, потолок по улучшениям/фиксам уже почти достигнут. От cdpr странный мув - вроде после провального релиза они так потели и старались до патча 2.0 с фиксами, много что улучшили, тот же рт/пт работал вполне себе сносно и без косяков (по крайней мере с первого своего прохождения на патче 1.31 не помню ничего существенного), и тут бац, заруинили все, включив подход а-ля "и таааааак сойдет" с релизом 2.0 и PL. Да и учитывая что игру по сути превратили в технодемку нвидии, казалось бы их технологии должны быть отполированы и вылизаны, реализованы в лучшем виде, а тут..да, на футажах официальных ночной Догтаун со всеми этими неоновыми вывесками, бликующими и отражающими лужами, выглядит потрясно. Но стоит прогуляться по городу днем - там же вообще караул. Подргузки теней в метре от прогруженных объектов где-то чуть поодаль, мерцающие глючные тени на лицах неписей, черные пятна на шмотках городских жителей и деревьях от покачиваний ветра. Благо появилось множество костылей чтобы привести все это в более-менее удобоваримый вид, но если условно играть в это все в ваниле, это ж отврат, почти физически больно будет, по крайней мере я так и не смог играть пока не появились всевозможные фиксы, в т.ч твои, за что опять же спасибо) ну и апофеоз пофигизма cdpr - краши в Джапантауне, в районе моста, недалеко от рынка. Я то думал это все из-за модов, но потом внезапно узнал что даже на чистой игре при включении rt там будет время от времени крашить игру, это вообще трындец. Топик с проблемой случайно заметил на форуме cdpr, появился трабл с патча 2.1, но они даже не думают его фиксить, занавес.

      Ну да ладно, чет заболтался) что сказать, удачи в дальнейших проектах, ума не приложу как ты еще не выгорел столько времени все за криворукими разрабами подчищать..видно сильно перфекционист и сильно любишь эту игру))

    seems like some weird shadows sometimes appear on the screen out of nowhere (quite rarely tho and in random locations), and they are always on the fixed location of the screen - the only way to get rid of them is to go into mod settings and disable and then enable the mod

    is this a known issue or more likely some conflict on my end?

      If you're talking about having it appear like V has something smeared across their vision (like if you looked at a really bright light and got shapes appearing burned into your vision for a bit), I see this happen sometimes and found a reasonably easy fix for it.

      Simply open your map, scroll around the map for a few seconds, then close the map.

      Can't remember where I saw the suggestion, but it's so far worked for me every time.

      Yeah, that's exactly what I meant

      Going into the mod settings and quickly disabling the mod and re-enabling it again also fixes it for me every time

      Just wanted to make sure that the developer of this awesome mod is aware of this bug

      Hard to say without any image, but if you using Ultra+ then it looks like glitch from PTNext mode.

    Cars don't cast shadows anymore and everything looks flat :(

      if you use don't use ray tracing but for some reason enabled RT Mode in mod settings, that's what you're gonna get.

    Any chance you could look into the shadows of the H10 elevator that takes you to the garage?

    Similar to the Pacific tunnel, at certain times of the day, the sunlight shines right through the outer side of the elevator and the ceiling until either hidden behind one of the surrounding buildings, or the elevator has descended into the garage.

    hi does this also fix the weird black textures on npc? because if so it doesn't work i have your mod enabled in mod settings and i reloaded just to make sure but the pitch black shadow texture is still on npc's
