So if I wanted to make a tattoo that works for say Solo Body 2.0, I would need the different meshes or the tattoo will float or be buried inside the body? If so then we have to ask the body creators for their different meshes for arms and what not?
Also I'm guessing its using the vanilla layout for the tattoos? I have gotten so used to the UV layout now, it gonna be a nightmare puzzling everything together if you want a full body tattoo. Because I really want to make some nice tattoo's for some of my chars but I'm not very versed in how to get those meshes.
Ok Im truly sorry that ive come to write but Im trying to follow the instructions and Im trying to put the source file into wolvenkit but....nothing happens. I drag and drop and nothing. I created a new project and everything. I dont know if im missing something.
Are you trying to drop the files into WolvenKit itself? The files need to be copied into the project folder via your PCs file manager e.g. Windows File Explorer.
K so. I was able to add a chest tattoo the other day no problem following you guide. However, I wanted to add a back tattoo following the process. After some trial and error I finally got the switcher working but the tattoo is not visible ingame. I triple checked EVERYTHING inside the Wolvenkit project and still nothing. Something to note I have Solo Body 2.0 with Lethal Curves Rig (UV Framework) and Universal Skin Tone so Im not sure if these are conflicting with the tattoo.
The provided meshes are for Vanilla body. In order to have it work with other frameworks, you'd need a mesh designed to work specifically with those frameworks, which can likely be sourced from the framework mod files if vanilla tattoos work as expected while using the framework mod.
Thank you for this resources. The UV meshes that are seperated are very helpful. I would like to transform a UV tattoo into a CCXL one, but it doesn't seem to be easy.
Do you have by chance a tutorial (on the Wiki or somewhere) on how to work with this template? Especially the .mesh part confuses me cause the tattoo Overlays I created don't have any .mesh files and I'm not sure where to get them and what to do with them.
I thought I just asked, maybe you have a learning resource.
This toolkit has a dedicated step-by-step guide that can be found here. Additionally, you'll probably benefit from the Cyberpunk 2077 Modding Wiki, specifically this page about meshes. I would also highly recommend joining the Discord if you haven't already, as it is a great place to ask questions regarding Cyberpunk modding in general, and many helpful people are usually quick to have an answer. I am generally open to direct messages on there and have no problem answering any questions you may have about this modding resource.
I tried to work through the tutorial on the Wiki but didn't quite make it because some steps were missing or I was too inexperienced to know what to do!
The tutorial you linked is great!! Thank you so much. I will try to work through that :)
Already joined the Discord. Appreciate you for being open to questions! If I'm really stuck, I'll take you up on that offer!
This toolkit provides the framework to add custom tattoos and additional sliders to the game with ArchiveXL. Generally speaking, it doesn't directly convert this style of mod to CCXL, but theoretically, you could with the proper meshes. The included meshes in this toolkit are derived from vanilla, and could potentially clip with custom VTK and KS-UV textures.
This is a sick idea, I love the modular switcher, way better than working outside of the game each time you want to make adjustments. Also looking forward to modders adapting to this framework.
The latest update to Partner Name Tattoo for V - CCXL is a precursor to this concept for exactly this reason. Went from having separate .archive files for each option to one .archive containing all options, in their own switcher!
I have some unconventional "tattoo" idea and I wonder if framework would support it. It is sometimes difficult to pick underwear that fits the outfit. Often straps or other parts of underwear clip through other layers and it's a hell to find something that won't spoil whole outfit. So I think that matte, skintight "lingerie" in some subtle indistinct colors would be useful - even if it would have its drawbacks in limited scenarios. Probably most times if would help to avoid breaking rules in certains angles and poses 😅. Do you think it's possible, especially considering various body variants like EBB, VTK, etc.? Naturally, this would make sense for FemV and probably only lower underwear.
BTW. Is there a chance that this extension would support EquipmentEX, so such "tattoo" could be used just like any part of outfit?
Since this project is configured as an ArchiveXL mod, I don't believe it would work with EquipmentEX as creating such mods are a completely different process. The materials for tattoos are transparent by design, but could be configured otherwise, and there's nothing stopping you from using alternative meshes. The basis of the project revolves around the switcher functionality and simply provides sample meshes, materials and textures to utilize them.

Thank you the one way or another!

For example, taking this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/20206 and making them tattoo arm selections in CC?
