Does this mod fix the limitation of Crystal Coat reverting color to default as the vehicle is vacated? Is there a mod which fixes this? Or is it only an issue with custom Crystal Coat colors but not TwinTone? Version 2.2
You can use Enhanced Vehicle System to sort that out. Install, and in its options click "crystal coat configuration", one of the settings is the distance at which it deactivates, vanilla is about 5m, can change it up to a max of 200m, essentially never see the car without it.
Thanks! But that means that it's gonna reset upon the next time the vehicle is called in anyway right? Do there exist old-school repaint mods, as in static paintjob compatible with modern versions? Couldn't find them weirdly enough.
If the vehicle is within the EVS radius (so 200m) you can call it that it spawns nearby with the coat still on.
If you move further than 200m and then call the vehicle, coat resets (whenever you break the 200m you also get the audio queue, like vanilla does but right in front of you). Need to enter in order to reapply.
There is a vendor that overlaps with vanilla npc, however it was a few days ago when i randomly saw it, and i thought it was a vanilla bug, then i saw its this mod that adds these vendors which i forgot so i didnt take a screenshot/dont remember where but i know there is one x))))
Does this or could this offer an option for more "slots" for twintones? I started collecting cool twintones around town that I might want to try later, then suddenly it told me I was out of space and it would overwrite the oldest twintones. Kinda stupid to make a collectible that's hard to find like that limited to a few slots, and on top of that not even give control of which ones get removed/overwritten. Basically destroyed any desire I had to collect them.
Purchased items did not show up in the car paint menu. Vanilla crystal paint patterns disappeared after uninstalling. Reinstalling and changing the boot order gave the same result.
I'll be running around the vendors to see for myself soon, but which one should I expect to find the paintjobs for my Yaiba Kusanagi? My first instinct is the Mizutani vendor since there is only one Yaiba brand vehicle in the game (though it has a couple kinda ugly variants).
This mod doesn't have a Yaiba vendor. I'm 99.9% sure there isn't any naturally spawning Kusanagis that have scannable common twin tones and there is 100% no scannable iconic twin tones. They simply don't exist and the deceptious didn't make any custom ones.
Ahh, maybe I can finally get a unique or two for my T66 Avenger, since it seems I'm the only one that drives one in NC.
EDIT: It seems that a bug persists or is made more apparent with this pertaining to the T66 Avenger unique paintjobs. I know of at least two on there that are supposed to go to the Avenger but instead go to the 640 TS. I remember finding an Avenger at the Arasaka Estate with a unique and it ended up saying its coat was for the 640 TS. This may be something more in the purview of your Bug Fixes mod, though...
This should be fixed in 1.0.1, seems that unlike most car lines the Type66 has 2 distinct TwinTone tags, the 4 'Avenger' specific customs should now be tagged correctly, but you might need to replace once syou already have and buy them from the vendor again
First of all, thank you for all the Mods! They are great! I've been looking for this type of mod for a long time, since cyberscript seems to F something up with the TwinTone tab while scanning cars in game.
This issue seems to not be fixed in version 1.0.1 though, I just tried it from the dude behind Tom's Diner, does not say Avenger on any of the "Unique Colors".
I've uninstalled the old version of the mod (1.0.0), removed the xml files as well and installed the new mod, but it doesn't help. Anything else I need to do? LIke remove already purchased colors from my inventory before trying again? Don't know how to do that though.
Edit: Found out how to remove the colors I already purchased (just sold them to one of those deposit/sell boxes). Did not help though.
Edit 2: I bought some of the colors again after selling them, and a three of them actually works on the Avenger now, but it does not say anywhere that it is for the Avenger, it still says Type-66 640 TS in the salesmans Inventory. Would be nice if it actually said which car the color was for. Not sure if possible at all?
Mod is working well and it seems super sick, too bad the seemingly common bug where Twintone is just broken has infected my game. Whenever I'm not too lazy to go through my mods to find the possible culprit I know this'll stay on the must have list. Thanks!
NGL, kinda disappointed that there's no Avenger paintjobs (tho the common ones do work for them I suppose).
tbh I'm kinda disappointed in the twintone feature as a whole - I mean, cmon, the car is always summoned in the default color, also goes back to default if you walk more than 20m away from it or wreck it too much. Haven't found any mod to fix that yet. And worst of all - NO TWINTONE FOR NOMAD CARS? I mean... sure, deny a customization feature to canonically most tricked out cars in existence CDPR, good job xD Not even basic paintjobs, let alone custom jobs (unless you're a pro modder and a veteran artist to make your own lmao). Sure with some mods you can pick between all existing templates (which is mostly ugly wraith and even uglier aldecaldo jobs), but nothing to leave your own mark on it.
There are T66 Avenger uniques, they were just mixed up with the non-T66-Avenger paintjobs. The version released today should completely fix them: they should apply to the Avenger, and also be labeled as such at the vendors.
The Nomad vehicles do not have CrystalCoat in the base game. All this mod does is make the existing brand-associated preset TwinTones and the uniques for each vehicle available for purchase from a vendor instead of having to wait for a chance encounter on the road.
I have no idea what am i missing. I have all the requirements, vendors xl, tweakxl, archivexl, red4ext, redscript but i dont see any new icons for the twinstore vendors
I can't seem to get it to function, I have the requirements and everything is up to date but no new icons on the map and no new vendors not sure if there is a conflict with something else or what have you.
Real good idea though, major props for simplifying something that tends to be a pain in the butt.
