About this mod

If you think the life draining combination of Satori and Nehan was a dead giveaway that Saburo Arasaka had something to do with vampirism, just wait until you pick this SMG off of his cadaver.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Absorb invigorating Vitae as life ebbs away from the kine surrounding you... —Saburo Arasaka about the Tremere SMG

Detes
Tremere has a chance to apply Thaumaturgic Bleed on the opponents. Once they are affected, further shots against them from Tremere will heal you, have higher crit chance and crit damage. There is no immunity against Thaumaturgic Bleed. While in hand, the weapon will bestow some vampiric abilities and weaknesses to the owner:
  • poison immunity
  • 15% damage resistance
  • vulnerability to fire (a single incendiary grenade may very well be the end of you, even late game)

Chrome and Stats
Because of the powerful healing effects of the weapon, a Blood pump or a MaxDoc is not necessary (consequently neither is a Biomonitor), as long as you can avoid being on fire. A Second Heart can still come handy in those rare "sudden death" cases, but it's not a must.

Ready Steady combined with the Immovable Force iconic cyberware really does wonders in terms of stabilizing the weapon, and because you'll crit very often, the Deep-Field Visual Interface iconic cyberware is a must (we only care about its Cool attunement: +1% crit damage per point in Cool) together with 18-20 points in Cool, if you want to deal a gargantuan amount of damage. It goes without saying that 20 points in Tech, the relevant Tech weapon perks and Engineer skill 60 are important to have. Since fire rate and tech charge of Tremere are not slowed during Sandevistan, Falcon Sandevistan is the perfect OS candidate, but you can use whatever OS you want (Cyberdeck, Berserk for hybrid builds)

Thanks a lot Seijax for the solution to achieve unslowable tech charge!

Automatic Bolt shots (general vanilla game aspects)
Since there aren't that many tech weapons capable of full auto firing mode (basically the Senkoh LX and Quasar + their iconic variants), it is not widely known how they behave with bolt shots, and the confusing description of the relevant perks does not help either, so here is what I learned/experienced in my playthrough: sticking to the regular auto bolt shots mechanic can be finicky at best, and takes a lot of getting-used-to to reliably pull it off with the short charge time of Tremere (0.75s, or 0.6s with T5 Supercharger mod), the solution is to take the "In Charge" Tech perk. While counterintuitive (considering the perk description), in reality it simplifies firing automatic bolt shots significantly: just charge the weapon to full charge, and most of the time it will result in bolt shots. Occasionally it won't, but in that case just stop and start a new charge (same way, fully charged). The easiest way to recognize bolt shots is from the dense spark cloud at the impact area, it is rather hard to miss.

The vanilla Senkoh SMG (technically all Tech SMGs, but Senkoh LX and its iconics are the only ones) has an annoying cooldown on charged shots, the charge meter drains, and has to do so completely before the next charge can start. While this might have been an attempt to balance automatic charged shots, in practice it completely castrates them, so this cooldown has been removed from Tremere. Go Brrrrr as frequently as you want.

Avoid using Supercharger tech mod AND the Lightning Storm perk (increases charge speed with consecutive bolts stacking 3 times) together, this combination seems to prevent bolt shots entirely.

Additional mods to consider
Possibly an oversight from CDPR (since very few weapons are affected): the duration of full auto bolt shots is just 2s, meaning in full auto mode the original Senkoh LX will run out of it, switching to regular shots only halfway through it's mag size (considering the fire rate). Tremere is quite powerful even with this limitation (at full weapon potential most enemy will perish if showered in bolt shots for 2s), but if it bothers you, here is a mod addressing the issue: Bug Fix - Full-Auto Tech Weapons Bolt Duration. Otherwise you can just start a new charge when the bolt duration runs out.

How to obtain?
Take it off of Saburo Arasaka during The Heist. If you miss it, you can still buy it from Herold Lowe (Weapon vendor in Dogtown stadium), albeit at a rather hefty price and much later.

What if I want it 'here and now'?
The console command to get it:
Game.AddToInventory("Items.m1klos_Tremere",1)
