Can a version of this be made that doesnt remove facial hair? I have Beard 1 set to Alt look 3 (i think?) where it makes it just a mustache and not a full beard. When I equip this jaw the mustache completely disappears.
Just had the same issue and figured it out, and I'm a total idiot, so anyone else reading this can do it too. You will need to convert the item to glasses instead so that the beard will still show but they'll go away in first person. Here's how:
First, download this mod and figure out which version you want to use (which color and whether you need regular or large). Install the mod like normal and keep it enabled.
Then download and install WolvenKit. From the home screen, Create A New Project. Name it something like 8ugJawsGlassesVer. On the right side of the screen, click Asset Browser to open it (you might be prompted to install an extension). It should list all files in your game; now toggle the switch to turn on Mod Browser, and you should see a list of folders with all of the mods you have installed.
Find basegame_8ug_jaw in the list of mods and click on that folder to open it. You should now see on the right side that the mod contains a folder called Base. Right click on the Base folder and then click Add Selected Items To Project. This adds all of the folders/files from this mod into the new project you created, and you should now see that in the panel on the far left.
In the panel on the left, find archive > base > characters > garment > player_equipment > head > h1_056_mask__samurai, and then the file h1_056_pma_mask__smaurai.mesh. Right click on that .mesh file and rename it to h1_052_pma_specs__tactical_01.mesh (note: there are two underscores before "tactical"). The new name corresponds to some sunglasses in the game.
After you rename the file, you also need to rename the h1_056_mask__samurai folder. For some reason I couldn't do that directly through WolvenKit, so I right clicked on the file after renaming it, then clicked Open In File Explorer, and then manually renamed the folder through there. You need to rename the h1_056_mask__samurai folder to h1_052_specs__tactical. Once you change the name in Windows Explorer it should automatically update in WolvenKit.
Finally, now that you changed the name of the file and folder, click Pack Mod at the top of WolvenKit. This will save "your" mod as 8ugJawsGlassesVer.zip (or whatever you put for the project name). Now you just remove the original 8ug Jaws mod and install your own.
Then in the game, you will need to give yourself the Economic Safety 3201 Military Shades. You can use the CET code Game.AddToInventory("Items.Glasses_03_basic_03",1). And you can use Equipment-EX if you want to wear actual sunglasses at the same time. You can also swap a different item instead of the Military Shades if you find the correct folder name/file name/code for it.
thank you that tutorial was so usefull but idk wich glasses it replace wich one it is ? edit : my bad didn't see the last part edit 2: still look like sunglasses despite i did everything you said
But this is an item replacer (replaces the Menpo masks). And it occupies the Face slot. You need to equip this item in your outfit screen for the jaw to appear.
Love the mod! Just a heads up, the item codes under the download section are missing quotes for all but the optional files so they give an error when adding to inventory. The one on the main page worked though I think because of the quotes.
Main page: Game.AddToInventory("Items.Mask_03_rich_02",1) Download page: Game.AddToInventory(Items.Mask_03_rich_02,1)
Anyone else having a glitch where it removes all tattoos, cyberware, piercings, and markings from your face when you equip? Makes my character look boring as hell
Just a heads up, basegame_8ug_jaw_bigblack.archive from the 8ug_Jaws_Fem_Big file doesn't seem to work. When the file is in my archive and I type in the specified console command, nothing pops up. Swapped it out for bigchrome and all is well.
Is there any mod on this site that just makes this cyberware part of V's character model instead of replacing a clothing item? I'd like to have this AND wear sunglasses.
Use Equpiment-EX You can equip multiple clothing items per layer and lots of mods, especially Archive XL create items on their own layer outside of the games normal four available.
