This mod is not compatible with patch 2.0 and later, where the game changed how clothing works.  Leaving it up here only for those that may be playing the older version of the game for whatever reason.  Do not use this mod with patch 2.0 and later!

Dec 21st, 2022: Uploaded @Zo7lin's Simplified Chinese translation as an optional file.  Thanks much, Zo7lin!

Feb 27th, 2022: v2.0.3 released with new Level Up function.  Works with game patch 1.5 and CET 1.19.0 and higher.  Be sure to upgrade CET if you're running an older version!

    Feb 16th, 2022:
v1.2.1 continues to work with patch 1.5 and CET 1.19.0.  Be sure to upgrade CET if it is older!

    Dec 15th, 2021:
v.1.2.1 of this mod has been confirmed to work with game version 1.31 and CET version 1.18.1 too, no updates needed.

    Aug 23rd, 2021
: v1.2.1 of this mod is up to date as of game patch version 1.3.  You will need CET version 1.16.0 or higher to use it!
Please be sure to update your CET.

    Hi v1ld,
please can you think about a slim version for 2.0 for the weapons only?
I don't like legendary weapons with only slots for scope and supressor and maximum 1 modslot. A few modslots more - maybe 3 or 4 - would be nice. ;)

Hi, I'm not planning to revive this mod for 2.0, sorry.  The goal here was always to separate clothes from mods which is in the base game now.

Pretty sure someone will eventually look into what you're asking for - more slots is a common request!

Be VERY careful of using mods that are CONFIRMED not working, by the mod author themselves. There are many mods currently not updated to 2.0/2.01 and appear to be working, but later on end up breaking other parts of the game and/or functionalities. User Beware! If using such mods break your game---you  only have yourself to blame.

      From this mod's creator:

Welp, as far as I can tell, this is still working as advertised, with the recent game update 1.62, AND with the newest 1.62 Hotfix that just dropped. All the functions seem to be working. Woohoo! \o/

That's good to hear.  Thanks for the confirmation, I don't have the game installed to check on releases anymore.

Legit question... If outfits exist ingame, which have the same outcome (you wear what you want) and this just mod makes the gear that you want to wear "better" then is this technically just a cheat mod?

Lot of modded ouftit bug when using wardrobe, as if u dont equip it on ur character directly sometime it wont appear in first person when using the wardrobe

Wardrobe system is a buggy mess even with vanilla clothes. Great idea from CDPR but it needs some work. Pair with mod clothes/armor and it borks all the time.

The wardrobe system is far from a great idea though. It's unadulterated fan service - a shoddy patchwork for their poor implementation of clothing and crafting that force the player to choose between cool looks or strong stats. Wasting resources on an unrealistic "illusionary clothing" system is downright silly, especially in a first-person only roleplaying game that still could benefit from more basic improvements rather than layering on needless complexity.

@seraphael - Point taken, then it's a great fix for their screw up, and people playing games also love to play dress up. Think of it as a tailor, making bespoke clothes for you with the stats you want, then it won't seem too unrealistic, though we are only playing a game. It did make for some fun memes though.

I think this was originally slated to be 3rd person, phrases like Style is all the matters in Night City (and other marketing), and almost never seeing your character in game seems bit on the nose. If they could have spent the resources from wardrobe to implement a 3p camera, then I agree. I don't see giant issues with the game that need urgent attention atm, maybe too many are solved by mods I use (praise the unpaid mod makers!). Most of CDPR resources are going toward DLC, so there's that.

Try taking away the wardrobe system now and see the uproar, I think it would be greater than when the game launched in an unplayable state. The world we live in....

Glad to hear it is still (mostly?) working.  I don't have an environment is which I can check on it any more.

It's okay.  The patches kind of made it so we don't need it anymore.  We still use the mod because we got used to it.  The game was more fun using this mod.  Thanks again.

Hello! When using the mod, I found out that when I remove the mods from the weapon, it decreases the dps and also increases the mod slot. The mod slot is a good thing. However, even though the weapon previously got no damage enhancing mod, is it a bug that the dps changed after removing the weapon mod? Thank you.

Thank you for making this mod, I use it as a workaround for "items reverting to common quality level 1 stats" bug plaguing the game atm
