I can confirm that *something* in this mod does work but not for long - I had the correct FOV when loading a save where I was already in a vehicle, but only once. Beyond that, it did nothing. This needs to be fixed
Unfortunately doesn't do anything for me. Tried altering the values to no avail, great concept though and could be user error of course but I don't have any problems using other mods with TweakXL so I'm not sure, thank you anyway choom
Couple things, cameraPlaneSettings.weapon.mimicPlayerFov should be set to True. And in my testing, lots of aspects are measured in vertical FOV like vehicles, so 89 vert = 120 hor. Your values seem a little too high? Using your 120 FOV file, 100 vert would = 129 Hor. Which if you enter a vehicle you'll see it slightly zoom out, as compared to setting the values to 89 which better match your on-foot FOV of 120.
I haven't figured out how to disable forced zoom on things like body shields either.
Thanks for the feedback, fov mimic was set to true in version 3.0, regarding inaccurate values - perhaps this is due to the fact that I did all this on a Full HD monitor and adjusted the values accordingly. Unfortunately, there is no way to check here, since I would have to test different values on different monitors.
When I was testing, I was doing it with a 16:9 and 21:9 monitors at 1080p and 1440p respectively. It didn't seem to make a difference as long as the calculations were based of a 16:9 aspect ratio. 89 vehicle FOV matched 120 on foot for both. But this is all info I've found on myself, there's been 0 documentaion anywhere about how cyberpunk handles it so I very well could be wrong and am not noticing a difference. But thanks for the mod anyway I was in the process of making my own exactly like it
Is there anyway to set weapon FOV higher than 120? cameraPlaneSettings.weapon.mimicPlayerFov being set to true locks it to ur current fov (which mine is 120) when I edit cameraPlaneSettings.weapon.fov to any higher number it doesn't do anything unfortunately.
This mod fr made me start my first playthrough on Cyberpunk. Got it last year and HATED how close weapons were to your person, stopped playing within the first hour. Thanks a lot !!
really been enjoying this mod so far! I'm just curious, when you aim down sights it seems like it goes back to regular fov, is there any way to make it so aim down fov is the same as my current fov? Like I'm using 120 fov file, but aiming in it seems like it goes to 60 fov (or w/e is default) how do i make aim down fov match

Increasing the values manually also did nothing.
Great concept tough.
