Hey man, thank you so much. This mod got rid of some horrible aliasing on dead bodies in my game. And it looks fantastic. Personally, i like the HDR. Regardless, thanks so much. Voted and endorsed.
I did not really care for the amount of change their preset makes to the game's lighting. It also doesn't sharpen quite as much as this one. CDPR did a great job with lighting with ray tracing, so I did not really want to change that more than necessary. I mean, nothing against anyone who does want that, but not for me.
I don't comment on anything but feel the need to say this transformed the overall experience. HDR is broken on all versions so but this just fits perfectly. Sharpening can look horrid. This is just right. I'm on 4K with DLSS and mix of settings on a 48" CX and it is perfect. Spot on!
My friend who I bounced settings off of said he just had to change his HDR mode to get it working properly. I didn't get details from him, but maybe check your monitor's HDR settings and see if there are other options you can change. The only HDR display I have looks like crap regardless, so not really worth tuning anything on hahaha.
I can have a fiddle with my hdr. The colours are washed out as hell and there's terrible banding. Turns OLED inky blacks green and grey. The in game calibration is terrible as there is no explanation and the image changes very little. It feels similar to RDR2s which was basically sdr.
Hmm, may be something in your settings. I know he was getting similar issues till he changed his HDR mode. He said the HDR was great after that. Also, do you have any of the post processing options in game on? I have heard those cause people issues (Chromatic Abberation, DoF, Lens Flare).
I spoke to my friend and he said what fixed his HDR was swapping to HDRPQ in the in game video settings menu. For whatever reason HDRSRGB is causing those striping issues.
Awesome man! I am actually just about to upload a performance mode as well. It will look roughly the same, but with much less FPS hit. Or to save yourself a download, just disable the clarity filter and see if that is to your liking.
Stop oversharpening everything!!! It's not a good effect. It's terrible and you will realise with time... Few years ago I also thought sharper was better.
Oh my! How wrong I was. Stop abusing sharpening filters and focus on colour, tonemapping and other effects to modify ambience without destroying Image quality in the process.
Games in movement doesn't look ok when you oversharp. Especifically far textures gets destroyed. It might look ok in static images or taking screenshots, but to actually play the game you should tone it down.
I agree with you to an extent. But the reason that oversharpening usually turns out bad is poor base texture quality. That is not really a problem in cyberpunk. I took a lot of time managing the sharpening vs how it affects distant objects as well as combat. But I hate blur, I would rather have a sharp image that doesn't convey motion quite as well to a blurry texture.
The other effect that the sharpening does for me is kind of fights my display's poor backlighting. A lot of the screen tinting I was getting without the reshade is gone with it. This benefit will definitely differ by monitor though. That said, still looks great for me at all times....I did remove the curves filter though because it was overdarkening things.
All the reshade are really subjective. This is my approach: Before: https://ibb.co/gv5BzJk After: https://ibb.co/0m7cRv2 Before: https://ibb.co/yNNjFts After: https://ibb.co/2W12mct
Yes, it will indeed be very subjective to the viewer. IE I actually prefer the before on your images. Your presets change the lighting significantly which is not to my taste (Yes, I realize the original HDR version of mine also did, but I changed that now).
Something else to keep in mind for my preset though, it is intended for higher resolutions using DLSS. It does not really have a desirable effect at lower resolutions.

What do you think about Autonomous Reshade mod compared to yours?
