Live A Little doesn't edit any of the files that my mod does, so it should be compatible.
EDIT: Looks like it does edit the sq004_messages.questphase, same as my optional files, so you'll have to choose which one you prefer and give that mod higher priority in the load order - if you use my optional file, that is.
The file handles the text messages in Panam's quest Riders on the Storm, but the author hasn't specified what exactly they have edited in regards to that.
By incompatible, it just means only one version of the file will 'win' .. you will end up either with the settings from Live A Little or from this mod depending hon how the files fall on the alphabetical order.
The game loads mods alphabetically (modA overrides changes in modB), so in this case LiveALittle wins and My Panam txt msg edits will lose. If you're using the Archive version you need to add a zero (0) at the beginning (0My Panam txt msg edits) or an alphabet that comes before L in LiveALittle, so it will be higher in the load order and win the conflict.
Archive mods don't support a proper load order adjustment. RedMods load order can be adjusted via Vortex, RedLauncher and WolvenKit.
The simplest way would be to simply install the RedMod version of my optional file, since RedMods always load after the legacy Archive mods.
The longer delays version of this is just flatly not working for me, Panam is still calling me at 10am the next day after completing Life During Wartime. I've also got Live A Little, but the same happens whether this archive is higher or lower in the load order so it can't be that. There's no conflicts in the archive checker tool either. I have a lot of mods installed but the only thing I'm aware of that'd affect this is LAL, so I'm stumped. Had the mod installed since minute 1 of the playthrough too, didn't even install it halfway through or anything.
Try a save right before completing Life During Wartime and disable your other mods while keeping this mod enabled. Wait for 12 hours and see if she calls you.
Well, it definitely works in isolation. Unfortunately for me I had 180 mods installed, so finding which one exactly caused it to not work is going to take me a while. I'll take the opportunity to review my mod list, reinstall things a few at a time, and keep testing this until hopefully I figure out what it is.
So the 'longer delays' version of this mod doesn't work, or at least doesn't work as advertised. I've spent a lot of time testing this, doing the same repeatable actions - finish Life During Wartime, do a gig, a scanner, sleep for 12 hours, then another gig and another scanner. Just waiting doesn't always work, you need to actually be playing the game to get quests to trigger.
Totally vanilla, you get calls after Life During Wartime in this order - Peralez, Wakako (to start Sinnerman), Panam. With only this mod installed, then after the Wakako call Judy calls to start Ex-Factor, but then later that same day Panam calls about Riders On The Storm. So it seems like the 'longer delays' version is giving the slightly lengthened time of the main version only.
I also don't think this is actually compatible with Live A Little. With this mod and LAL installed, nothing else, Panam calls before Judy the day after LDW, whereas with just this mod as explained Judy calls first because of the delay this mod adds.
Well, I thoroughly tested the main version and the Longers Delay version is basically the exact same edit in the files, but bigger numbers to get the longer delay. I don't see how it wouldn't work without there being some kind of incompatibility between mods.
Also the "just waiting doesn't trigger things" thing is vanilla behaviour, it's even mentioned in the notes of the patch that just dropped. You need to actually be doing some activities or just spending time in the open-world for some of these quest stages to trigger, including phone calls from NPCs. Basically wait 12 hours or whatever, then do a police scanner job or two and some quest stage should trigger. It might not be Panam calling at first if there are other people waiting to call you at that time.
It's not an incompatibility, I tested it without any mods installed at all other than the longer delays version of this one, Panam still calls after about 17 hours. I've done it several times and it's the same every time, even checked to make sure that I'd downloaded the right version of the mod.
Yep, this new longer delays version definitely works - think it's fine with Live A Little too, seems like LAL just delays Judy's call about Ex-Factor for a lot longer than I remembered.
Nice work, I did the same with a personal mod, but increasing the delay to 7 days. Do you know how is it possible to visualize the content of a message in WolvenKit? Because in regards to sq004_messages, I didn't manage to get it quite right
oh no, i just read that i have to install this before life during wartime :( . im in the middle of finding evelyne quest chain now and panam just called. really screwed the timing this time.
Yeah! Me too. I think the time between quests are too smal, feels rushed in a way, i wish the game made us do some sides for a time, there so much good sides that some people dont even know cause they are always in the mains.
You should talk to the guy who's working on the Live A Little mod. Between the two of you, you should be able to make the game breathe properly with sensible quest timers - although these ones are still a little short for my liking, there should be days between Life During Wartime, Riders, and the beginning of With A Little help, imo.
Well done. You had a good idea, it was annoying with that short time between these tasks. Maybe even longer would be good too but this one changes it enough already. Cheers!

This looks great!
Is it compatible with "Live a little"? I see you recommend it, but it changes panams quests aswell.

Thanks for your help! :)

do you know if both of your mods are compatible with Quest Trigger Fixes ? =)
I assume Panam text message edits is incompatible with Panam romance messages extended?
Does the normal delay version still work as is with 2.2?
Thanks
Mod should work fine with 2.2.
Your other mod (Rachel's call delayed) should also work with 2.2 I guess?

I might have uploaded the wrong files for the 1.1 version. :(
It's great that mods are tackling these timing issues. Live a Little has been great in spacing out quests too.
