    Anyone have an issue where the bits of dialogue that happen during relic malfunctions will repeat like 2-4 times in rapid succession?  At least with the more severe malfunctions later in the game this happens every single time.

    Is there any way to stop V or Johnny from repeating the same line multiple times in a row during a malfunction?

    Think I found a little bug. In situations where you're forced into an stationary animation, like leaning against a railing or sitting down during a conversation, the relic sickness can trigger and kick you out of that locked state restoring free movement. I don't know if it affects anything with scripting, but it's prolly not supposed to happen. Just happened to me during the Arasaka Industrial Park recon while talking with Takemura about the cat.

    And no, I'm not talking about the scripted relic malfunction at the end when you both stand up to return to ground level. I know that one's supposed to happen.

    edit: It happened three times during the talking sections of this one. I think the accelerated time scale of these missions, where it forces a rapid shift from day to night, causes it to fire more often.

    Thanks for the fix!  What's Far Cry 2 without malaria?

      I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had this thought.  Far Cry 2 was also the first game I ever played in which an incendiary weapon can accidentally start a brush fire that can burn all the way to the horizon; I remember how hard my mind was blown the first time I saw that happen.  It remains easily my favorite game in the series.

    Apparently this shares base\quest\main_quests\part1\q112\scenes\q112_08_parade_speech.scene with Enemies of Night City (ENC_Anim_FX.archive). I'm not entirely sure what this or ENC has to do with that scene or if it's essential to this mod's function, all I know is that I didn't see this mod working in the short amount of time I was testing my mods today with it below ENC in the load order. I know I need to play longer (especially with the "less annoying" version), I'd just like to get some more information on it before I can get back on

      Fixed a small fact naming bug in that scene, IDK if Enemies of Night City does anything there - maybe there's something regarding Oda combat logic
      Shouldn't really matter as ENC will come earlier in load order

      Only one. The normal one will have Relic malfunctions happen more often than the less annoying one, due to having a bug with detecting sickness progression fixed

    This is definitely one of those "bruh, you do you....waaaaay over there" mods.

    Is there any way you could make them last longer? It's like five seconds and then you're right as rain. Be great if they last for several minutes at least.

    I like the extra immersion of the restored random Relic malfunctions, it gives that bit of extra urgency to getting on with things.

    But is there a way to remove or adjust the comments from Johnny when the malfunctions happen?

    I've just done the date with Rogue in my latest play through and am getting on well with Johnny... then the Relic malfunctions and he's back to calling V pathetic, etc., because the chip is slowly killing them.

    Don't know if it's possible, but it'd be pretty cool to have Johnny's comments/reactions during the malfunctions match the relationship between him & V.

      I figure I could release a version that doesn't fix the fact naming bug and thus keeps the game from recognizing the actual sickness level

      Tacking onto this.  I just got a malfunction partway into Phantom Menace and the game clearly got its wires crossed.  Johnny was nowhere to be seen or heard, but I got these subtitles in quick succession:

      Johnny: What's this?
      Johnny: That seriously what you wanted?
      Johnny: Hell's wrong with you?
      Johnny: Weird.

      These seem to be randomly chosen, as the subtitles will say different things with each reload.  Again, with no Johnny around to say them.

      The scene will spawn an invisible Johnny at the player's location to play voicesets, this was actually intended by CDPR lol
