Yo. This mod got bigger than I expected and I think I added a ton of useless stuff that most of you won't use. I was thinking to remove the "fun" features as they seemed out of place now that the mod is fully focused on immersion, but I let them be because why not. I think the mod reached it's potential and there will be no update after this one, except for bug fixes.

    New in 1.2.0:
    - Added complex mode, now you can individually change the probability for each reaction to trigger. (Eg. set honk back to 50%, panic to 5%, verbal to 20%. The total percentage cannot exceed 100%).
    - Added verbal feedback, both pedestrians and vehicles can now play voice over when you honk.
    - Added timeout options for reactions. In simple mode you can choose from the predefine options, in complex mode you can set your own interval.
    - Added option to enable/disable reaction from police vehicles.
    - Added option to target individual NPCs or the whole NPC crowd (Verbal seems to not work properly for the whole crowd).
    - Fixed parked vehicles panicking.
    - Increased max radius to 40 for both vehicles and pedestrian settings.
    - Slightly lowered the dodge distance for the "normal" intensity.

If you encounter any bugs please report them here or in the bugs tab.

Yo, I saw that a lot of you use this mod for immersion, so I added some more options so you can configure it to your liking, you can now select a probability that the reaction will trigger for NPCs. You can also make the reactions random. I got some ideas reading this posts section and decided to add some "fun" features, you can make pedestrians and cars explode when you honk, you can make tires pop and vehicles bounce. Have fun.

    New in 1.1.0:
    - Vehicles can now react to your honking, you can choose to make them panic / honk back
    - Added probability sliders for the reaction to happen
    - Vehicle and pedestrian reactions have independent customizable radius and probability
    - You can now choose to make the pedestrian or vehicle reaction random
    - Added fun features. When you honk you can: make vehicles explode, pop their tires (this might make your game crash), make them bounce, make pedestrians explode, make pedestrians die
    - Added radius selector for the fun features

If you encounter any bugs please report them here or in the bugs tab.
If you have ideas on how to improve the mod (new features, expanding existing features), leave a comment.

works great! would be cool if honking at vehicles would just get their attention (like at ai vehicles deciding to stop randomly in the middle of the road) without making them fully panic

It works, but I was experiencing some CTD (crash-to-desktop) issues. I'm not entirely sure if it was due to this mod combination, so I decided to remove it for now.

It might be worth testing it out yourself for a while and seeing how it works for you, let me know if you have success with it.

Is there a way to make NPC drivers move away without the panic mode kicking in?

A mod that makes idiot npc drivers blocking the road ahead of me actually drive away when I honk at them?
What a time to be alive!

Woohoo, still working as advertised, with game Patch 2.21, hella nice!  \o/

OMG, this mod has saved my sanity (or what little I have left, thanks to the vanilla pedestrians/vehicles reaction mechanics, lol)! This really should have been in the vanilla game since game release, and I'm shocked it was never added/addressed in any of the past game updates, pfft! I especially love how configurable this mod is ( in Native Settings UI ) with so many settings, hhnngg!!  ♥

Hella preem work on this, Cosmin G/CozmiNU!!
    THANK YOU
for this frickin' essential must have mod!! Endorsed and Kudos, my choomba!!  \o/    :)
