Hi everyone. I'll be going through and releasing an update of the mod sometime this week. This will bring the mod inline with the new game and CET updates. I do believe it still works, but this is more to make sure it is working properly.
Does this work as Skyrim UI compass mods...so icons in compass show up when you're in near proximity of something ( shop, gig, crime event, etc). This is imo better solution than mini map.
Ultimately that is what I want to achieve. I love the graphic compass ribbon. I am currently learning how to implement graphics. Certainly watch this space.
Sorry to be a noob about this but how the hell do we read it, as digital? Just so you know, I tried to google 'digital compass' and it wasn't helpful. Apparently there is a game by that name, but no real explanation how to read it. Is it something like 0=North and 180=South ?
Wikipedia sums in up nicely for us: Compasses often display markings for angles in degrees in addition to (or sometimes instead of) the rose. North corresponds to 0°, and the angles increase clockwise, so east is 90° degrees, south is 180°, and west is 270°. This is from the article at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compass. There is also some good images of compasses with the degree markings on them to give you a better idea how it works.
If and when I am able to, I’ll add a compass ribbon to help visualise headings a bit better.

If you mean you mean you might be able to offer a ribbon with 0, 90, 180 and 270 with the corresponding letters. Yes, please if you get time, that would be great. It would be pretty cool to see the letters at all 4 points, but keep the rest digital.
Hey this is cool man, being able too move it is awesome also, and toggleable, faaark! :D I was getting sick of squinting at my tiny ass compass. Will give her a whirl first chance.

This brings the mod inline for Game Patch 2.1 and irons out a couple of UI tweaks and a few script bugs that were introduced due to CET updates.
Updates to this mod are not required. So long as you upgrade to the latest CET, all will be well.
Do please let me know if you find anything.
