Thank you very much for your kind words, vStrangeHuman, my friend. I do plan to make more mods like this, yes. At the moment, I was forced to take a break because I still haven’t been able to afford new glasses. Unfortunately, I suffer from a serious eye condition that causes extremely high irregular astigmatism, and I need new specialized glasses. It’s almost ironic for a designer to suffer from this, but that’s life. I hope to be back soon. I have many texture remake projects already started that I also want to finish and publish.
Million times better than the basegame vending machine and also better than the 4K upscale to V's apartment. Works with other vending machine mods as long as you give it priority too. Just install the conflict checker mod and drag this mod up in the left pane until it overwrites any other conflict.
Thank you very much for your comment, hamletsdead. It makes me happy and motivates me to finish more texture reworks for this game that I like so much.
Great work! I really like this mod especially the 2.0 version fits pretty well with the environment I was wondering if you're planning on developing more mods like this (For V's apartment) in the future and if not are there any other mods for V's apartment that are compatible with yours that you recommend?
Hello my friend, yes, I intend to redo other textures in the apartment, such as the low-definition newspapers and magazines that are there, the fabric of the chair, the floor, etc. I also plan to redo other machines with poor textures, but I redo the textures myself. I don't use any type of AI to try to improve them; they are inconsistent, cause a lot of noise, and are terrible with numbers and words. Redoing an artwork based on the work of another artist while respecting the original concept, fonts, colors, textures, the game's artistic direction, and the lore itself is not a quick job to do well. I'll take advantage of your question to talk a bit about the mod and how the game also has some limitations that we need to learn to deal with to achieve the desired result. For example, even in version 2.0, which I consider to have an acceptable level of quality, it is far from a result that satisfies me. I don't like the color banding effect that the lighting causes on the color gradient of the texture. Even using 10 or 12 bits of color depth, I couldn't avoid it. I can only disguise it by purposely using hard color transitions (color banding), and that's not the effect I want. I want a smooth transition effect in the gradient, and I still haven't figured out how to avoid this effect, as it appears even in the original texture, even with more bits of color and more resolution. Apparently, it is a side effect of the way the game lights the machine, which seems to be quite rudimentary, like simply "blowing out" the brightness and contrast parameters, etc. Not to mention the excessive bloom that, with the original textures, makes it hard to read the ORDER button. I am studying this at the moment. I have just started modifying CP2077 precisely because I saw little handmade work done in terms of texture enhancement oriented to the game's original art. AI does not solve everything; it is an incredible tool, but it is being used as a crutch, as a lazy solution for retexturizing and revitalizing the game. It brings the benefit of "improving" files in massive quantities, but it makes everything kind of weird, noisy, and inconsistent. The side effect is that those who use it feel satisfied because it is impossible to review and retouch hundreds of files, and those who would do it by hand feel discouraged because manual work takes much longer. Anyway, just a rant, but I will always try to do my best. Thank you and all the other users who gave feedback so that I could improve and learn more.
I definitely get what you're saying about manually redoing the textures I personally only use one texture mod other than yours and that one is also all manually done which I can definitely tell the difference and I think that's why your mod caught my eye because you can tell that it's done by hand it's great to see someone new entering the modding scene with so much passion and talent I'll be looking forward to your work good luck my friend.
Looks amazing, i hope u will make this for other VM as your mod looks better than the AI upscaled one. Keep the good work! Its rare to see quality of this level in AI times.
Yes, I intend to do the same for others that also have very low-definition textures where you can't even read the information... Thank you very much for using my mod and for your feedback.
we need more people like you to keep games alive, sadly witcher 3 killed mods with next gen and redkit was added way too late but maybe people will comeback to it after new witcher games or w1 remaster
I’m just getting started. We have excellent artists in the community. I’m glad you liked the mod, and thank you very much for the compliment and support.
