This will conflict with some texture mods, for example Cyberpunk HD Reworked, but they will work together as long as you let my mod load first in your mod load order. I suggest using Archive Conflict Tool to ensure that my mod loads first.
all vegetation has pitch black shadows randomly moving around them, this is a bug with the base game, not with this mod.
UPDATES: V1.1.0: - Added my own leaves and branches for the platanus tree, also improved it's bark textures to be more similar to the real life appearance. - fixed a few other bark textures such as fan palm and yucca
V1.2.0: - Re done every single normal map, the size is the same, but the depth of textures should now be VERY noticeable. (sorry for frequent updates, I had stuff to fix xd)
One little niggle about your Sycamore tree leaf replacement. The original leaves are shaped properly for the western sycamore, where your replacements are from the eastern versions. The eastern versions of the trees simply are not drout tolerant for the western weather conditions. Plus the Western Sycamores leafs can be massive in comparison. They can nearly be 12 inches wide, and the trees can reach over a thousand years old, and 150 feet tall. I would have a deep look for better western sycamore leaves, as CD Project Red did the trees right, just gave us low res versions of the leaves. Also, Look up Sycamore tree bark, they tend to have this amazing almost puzzle like look to them. The trees can look quite wild with puzzle shaped sections on the trunks in colors of pale green, tan, and gray. The Joshua trees are pretty darn close as is the palms.
The leaves are a 2d texture, so they will never look perfect but I can improve their look. I'm running into a problem with transparency that once I can fix, I will be able to make them look better.
hi @shierkbark47, I know working in PS is kinda convoluted sometimes, but I would like to offer this should be able to be achieved no problem by following the outline in this PS demo isolating flames from a wood fire in a dark black background by using the image itself to create a perfect mask: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-Nhgq0QeNE
I hope this helps, good luck! your textures on the bark and in that leaf preview are super amazing, thank you for your work :)
There's an easier way to do that by simply double clicking your layer and adjusting the "Blend If" values.
It wouldn't work for everything, though. I would suggest creating a PS action to dupe the layer, edge detect, average color, feather, then mask it to the base layer. It would take some time to setup the action but you could run it through all your assets and should do that job. 😉
I tried all sorts of methods, and whenever I load into the game, the leaves have a black outline, even if in photoshop it doesn't show much on the edges. It might be because of the compression from game engine since the files I import are 4x-8x higher resolution.
Made one set of leaves for the v1.1.0 update on my own completely manually and thus not having the transparency problem, but this is a very long process (2-3 hours).

Is it possible to improve the quality of the leaves?

I already did this for all of the leaves but all of them have black edges, which photoshop can't remove perfectly & would take me months to remove.
