    This mod Overhauls

    • Firearm Prices (Makes weapons cheaper, designed to work with my mod A.G.I.S - Customized Atelier Stores, Edit: Also designed the mod to work with my mod Hardcore22 - FacelessV1 Version 2.0. All weapons, regardless of quality, cost the same)
    • Vehicle Prices (Makes vehicle prices reflect how much it would cost IRL and mirrors the prices of real life counterparts)
    • Apartment Prices (Makes the hotel room and the small apartment cheap and the penthouses expensive as fuck. based around paying rent for a full year.)
    • Boxing betting and rewards (Makes the bets slightly higher and lower for certain fights)
    • Rouge and Vik's service fees (Makes rouge more expensive and Vik way cheaper, based around my mod A.G.I.S - Customized Atelier Stores)

    Going to Overhaul

    • Food Prices (Don't know how long this will take)
    • Drink Prices (Don't know how long this will take)
    • Clothes Prices (Don't know how long this will take)
    • Cyberware Prices (Don't know if this is possible to do the way i want to)

    Requirements

    • Phantom Liberty (Don't know if this is actually needed but just in case)
    • TweakXL (Hard Requirement)

    This mod just randomly started to cause my game to crash. Used it for a month and only issue was random crashes at times when looting enemies but now it crashes it every time I try to load in.

    The prices in the game ARE realistic though
    I don't think you know much about Cyberpunk's lore, if you did you wouldn't have made this as hyperinflation has been keeping both NC and the entire planet face down in the dirt since the 2nd Corpo War

      Whether or not specific prices are reasonably lore accurate is a separate discussion from whether or not its a good idea to be translating prices for equivalent IRL vehicles into Cyberpunk 2077.

      I think if the mod author wants to rebalance prices, then they should go for it because it could change the gameplay experience in potentially interesting ways and that's what modding is all about. I don't think the rationale behind the pricing is nearly as important as the actual impact rebalanced prices will have on the gameplay experience.

      Prices and money rewards in game are primarily there to support player progression. There is no economic simulation. There is no "realism" -- it's verisimilitude.

      It's a trap to get caught up reifying the concept of realism in video games. its all just math in a box playing pretend with your brain.

      Thanks for taking a stab at this Faceless, an econ rebalance has always interested me but I haven't tried any out yet. I'll keep yours bookmarked.

      @HenryKrinkleMusic

      There is a difference between changing a price for gameplay reasons and changing it to be more realistic. If someone wants to price it to be more in line with the lore, that's not a bad thing, and modding is not exclusive to gameplay; some people want it to be as lore-accurate as possible; modding is good because people can specialize to their own tastes and wants. Making it more "Realistic" implies it will be more real to the lore itself. If this is about gameplay, then the modder should have specified what this mod is for; it says nothing about the gameplay in any of its descriptions.

      i mean yeah you're right but if we were to accurately calculate the inflation rate of a desert eagle costing around $2000 based on this model which looks the most like the Nue the price would go like this : 2000 x (8%^53) which would result in this 1.4615016e-55 which is 14,615,016 with 48 more 0s. Mind you an 8% inflation rate is great during wartime this large. WW2 had an inflation rate of 30%. Today we have an inflation rate of 8 just from one war so it isn't actually realistic unless the €$ is worth Trillions of dollars

      @patt2277

      Do differences of intention from a designer matter for the player? As someone playing the game, I would argue all design intentions become secondary factors the moment I start interacting with a game. I feel the function of lore and setting in a game is to fundamentally anchor the experiences of the player in an imagined setting in a way that suspends disbelief so the player can engage with the game fully.

      If you thought I was implying that modding prices to be someone's idea of lore accurate was bad than I apologize for sending the wrong message. I was trying to convey the exact opposite.

      I think the confusion comes from the fact that I don't see "lore-accuracy" as being a property that is somehow special and distinct from gameplay. I guess I just nest a games worldbuilding and lore within the a concept of gameplay when we are talking about the context of playing and/or modding games. The lore is there to facilitate that play and everything works together holistically. So when I said that's what modding is all about, the "that" is the concept of customizing the experience one has playing the game in whatever creative ways we want.

      I don't feel like modders are obligated to do anything anymore than users are obligated to download and use mods.

      edit: Also just wanted to add that I just have a personal pet peeve about the use of "realism" when talking about games, so don't get caught up on that. I just prefer the term verisimilitude when talking about what's "realistic" in games. Promotional marketing hype machines throw realism around so much it can mean almost anything (so often means nothing specific in conversation). As far as getting people confused and talking past each other when trying to discuss a hobby they mutually enjoy, it's right up there with buzzword grenades like "choices matter" and "immersive".

      edit2: Not actually important to me as I don't care where the author's prices come from but for the sake of math accuracy -- I think an 8% inflation rate on $2000 over 50 years would be something around $90k. Feel free to check me on this cause I'm terrible at both finances and math but I'm pretty sure the formula used above by FacelessV1 to calculate the inflation on the Nue is very wrong.

      Wouldn't hyper inflation that has made clothing tens of thousands of dollars, mean cars cost in the millions?

      The in-game economy and balance is crap, regardless of the futures hyper inflation.  The fact that as a merc you risk your life to complete a gig, which then pays you enough to buy a T shirt.... makes being a merc absolutely stupid.

      I think somewhat recently there was a mod with a close name to this one. It was Economy Tweaks and Balance, even used money as their picture. I was confused for a second when I saw this in the new tab lol
