Most mods that remove water from the game are for exploring unseen parts of the map, however in some circumstances this actually suits this game well and is pretty fun to play with.

Great idea, but I would rather see the pools filled, because pools are for rich people and they will always have access to water.

Unfortunately mod turns off the physics of water in the whole game, how it is released partially I do not yet know.

10/10 mod water is overrated anyway.

This is the real question. And if so - where at on the map?

Most interesting places are where there was a quest with Judy, the factory, and small places on the map where you can find something underwater, for example in a deep pool in Dogtown.

yeah I already put this in, out by the ocean breakers there's some hidden ships and oil wells also, seamurai, there's a NUSA facility way out by the ocean if you go far enough, a floating basketball court area also.  With Judy lake it goes way dark so I can't see when I go down there etc I'm wondering if it helps with performance to not have water?

I specifically spent time removing the darkness in the location with Judy, so now the weather there is the same as in the game.

oh well it still does that for me can't go down there or it goes black but maybe if I keep going it will light up I'll try it next time I play.

Screenshot with the church in these comments shows exactly the church from the underwater mission with Judy.

Did you install the mod via vortex or manually?

      File
Drought (No Water).xl removes the darkness in the place with Judy, check its presence in the archive/mod folder

always manual install it's in there, I can see all of it from halfway down the entrance road, but once I get too far down the road it blacks out for me. It's not a big deal I don't care too much about going down there anyways but I'll go as far as I can next time and see if it lights back up again closer to the buildings.

Won't this mess up the Judy Scuba diving quest?

I have no save game in this mission , and so I would test in this place, even wonder what will be there.

In some areas underwater seems suspicously detailed for something that %99 of players will not even bother to see (obviously I'm not talking about the judy quest area), I was wondering maybe devs planned to do more with it?

I think the developers just used already finished objects from the game, so they are well detailed.

I've been using Drive Underwater for some time now, but it takes forever to explore everywhere with low visibility. Looking forward to looking around quickly to see what's under there. Especially cool the roads, etc under where Judy's quest is. Gonna have to install rain all the time to bring back the water after lol.
    Thanks for an interesting mod!

I have a mod that just turns off poor visibility underwater and makes the water as transparent as possible, I don’t know if maybe I can put it out later

That's cool. No chance of falling through the world though is there? Or is it better to no clip?

On the underwater surface you can safely move as shown in screenshots, without fear of falling underground.
