For those that are still guessing why mods are on mods sites, why it's dark at night, since it's not lore friendly towards days and sun can be personally attacked by that and why nude can be dressed or undressed, and care for the sake of CDPR which obviously would prefer a lot of mods, since it prolongs interest in SP games, - Cyberpunk 2077 by default has censor option. Don't believe me?! Please check gameplay section in options! What it changes? Character nudity and some posters/ads (I used 3 of them in my mod, dolls, maids of satan & whatever other name was as permanent versions, not depending on character nudity like default). What does that mean? It could, or will have this option covered for every ad when the game is fully finished. There is already many censored stuff besides ads by devs, like tarot cards graffiti, holo. So why even bother about the job being done in missed areas of the game. What about those few variants that I changed with my art or in-game arts/renders instead? Consider them as a mod. It's a mod site and things can be swapped for anything, that's why people search through pages, to find those that they prefer, not politically correct or incorrect and all that crap, but those that they want or would feel they want after trying, without looking back on claims, especially when there is nothing illegal.
Everyone have a nice day/night, not sending baboons & vegetables this time, as you can see on these "modest" pictures.
Hoping for the same. I really prefer to avoid excessive nudity that is sexually provocative in nature (carrying the defiled girl to safety in the first mission is an example that isn't bothersome to me) and talking to panam at the bar while a massive pair of boobs is on the tv about some sex product is a bit over the top to me. Hoping this gets updated.
+1 In the world of Cyberpunk, I could even see the very ad agencies who put out the sexually provocative ads would also have a subscription based AR Augmented Reality filter for more modest ads. Subscription subsides and you are blasted with AR porn popups.
Personally it's not the nudity or sexuality itself that bothers me but just the amount of it. Like it seems like that's the ONLY idea they had for the adverts and it starts to feel immature and shallow in concept. I mean, are we to believe that's the only idea this societies marketing sector has for selling things? How do they market kids toys or to upscale markets?
And, some of those ads are just really disgusting, and I’m not into “gross out” humor so this mod is great. Oh, if you prefer more revealing then I saw another mod for that somewhere... ‘forgot the name.
Lol there was an ad with a lesbian couple and another with some gay dudes that don't seem to exist or have a replacement. Surely you can just put together something that's got gay representation AND is wholesome without erasing the game's nod to other sexualities, no? Hell, you gave the MIX IT UP ad a better treatment by comparison. Not meaning to start a fight, just genuinely curious about what the headspace was.
4th picture, last one with Hanako is the perfume one. There's not only censoring nudity, but also few changes of things visually, like in description, just based on what I wouldn't like to see on huge billboards, since they spam randomly. It's a perfume company so anyone could be there, it wasn't about gay couples in the first place, could be anyone, especially someone famous advertising a top perfume is pretty realistic. The lesbian couple exists. I didn't even screen all remade ads, since they trigger randomly, so you just missed it. I spent a lot of hours in tests and still didn't find everything.
out of curiosity why would they need any kind of representation at all? you can make a gay character. leave it at that.
it's 2077 but still homosexuality is not common, lore-wisely speaking. there is nudeness. why would you bark at a dude who just wants to get nudity out of the game and enjoy it that way?
To me, gay representation is really overrated. It just makes for a lousy cheap plot point that doesn't mean s#*! in the end. Disney only does it for the money, pride month itself is for the money. Being gay or whatever pronoun you use doesn't put you on a pedestal above everyone else, don't b&@*$ and moan because you aren't included in everything as a default. You don't need it. Because in the end, nobody gives a s#*! about who you f*#@ in bed. Making it your entire personality isn't a good thing, it becomes an obsession. The creator of this mod didn't include it because he/she has his/her own sexual preference, which influenced the mod. Going out of his/her way to include everyone else isn't a requirement, and "cancelling" people for that needs to stop.
Thank you so much for this! I don't want to see any nudity while gaming (personal reasons), and this game was plagued to the point that I was considering dropping it. Now I can finally play comfortably!
I would love for lewd yet clothed images to be removed or completely censored altogether, but this is the next best thing. You're a lifesaver.
very based mod super appreciate it since it is a little more awkward trying to play this game with others at home lol. only thing is that it doesn't seem to work with the latest update so if you can update it just know that those of us who appreciate this mod would appreciate it! keep doing what you're doing, and don't mind the losers who keep telling you otherwise.
not sure if anyone still cares, but found out it does actually work with 2.0 and above, you just have to install it manually by moving the .archive file into a folder called mod which will most likely be found in the steamapps. (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod) this is my copy-pasted shortcut, no idea if it'll work for you guys but just putting it out there! love this mod!
Thanks for letting us know man ! I was looking for a mod like this for the same reason of being able to play it in the open and traumatize anyone who might catch an eye full of Devon lol
Great for those who want to use it. But no.If you don't like Mozart, Sex pistols, or Justin Bieber, don't listen to them. But don't change them. And yes, you can play their music in another way. But it's not the same. At all. RanXerox.
Imagine comparing inherently personal interactive media that let's YOU control the flow and direction of the story with art that conveyes only the vision of an artist. What's next, we have to try mindreading the authour's thoughts when reading a book? Imaginig characters and worlds for ourselves is prohibited now?
Also someone clearly never heard of covers, with some of them being way better than originals.
And aren't CDPR wrong by your standards? They've changed many things in the Witcher universe and in the Cyberpunk universe. So why are their changes an amazing artistic vision, but changes done by modders aren't? Seems like double standards.
