These are more interesting than I thought they would be once I saw them inside the game. I simply wanted a well-crafted alternative to the sky strip holograms, but they come across differently from that.
The strips look more like the decorative banners that cities will often put up on street light posts or other locations. I imagine that if Night City decided to do something like that to show it was a somewhat normal city, it would have had to have formed a committee to decide on a design. And since Arasaka has giant fish holograms in the city's center, and is hugely influential, the nautical theme seems like a natural outgrowth of that.
I also like that the strips somewhat tone done the garishness of the city. The calm blue flowing strips are easy on the eyes.
Also, I noticed when you are outside the city, the strips look more like search lights than any sort of advertising. In fact, they reminded me of the time New York City beamed two lights into the sky at the site of the destroyed World Trade Center as a memorial to 9/11. Since Night City had suffered a major terrorist attack, the similarities were striking.
Anyway, no matter if you think the strips are just pretty or signify something different, I am glad you made them. Thanks.

Why do the young people of today always feel the need to point out everything they don't like about someone else's choices in life?
