Please update this mod to the latest version if you haven't already. I believe that this mod should have few issues as of mod version 1.5.

You have ArchiveXL, and its dependencies, installed and updated.
You only have 1 of this framework installed (choose one of 4x redmod, 4x non-redmod, or 8x).
Your game version is updated to latest version.
You have Phantom Liberty expansion.
ArchiveXL logs should be clean if those are true. If you still notice flickering, but rarely and it seems to affect only certain areas, then it could be due to conflicts with mods that overwrite sectors directly (poisoning the well for other mods), or mods that happen to replace the same exact thing that this framework replaces. The only solution for the first case is if the author of those mods use ArchiveXL to edit sectors instead of overwriting files. The solution for the second case would be a compatibility patch.
I for some reason cannot get this mod to work at all. I had it working about a year ago but quit playing CP and I'm coming back to it and reinstalling all my mods. I have all the requirements and even got the expansion now but still no go, I even tried manually installing it vs using the vortex loader.
Check for errors in logs, and if you are using the REDMOD version, do you have REDMOD enabled in your launcher? Make sure that you uninstall one if using the other, and use the matching graphics mod non-REDMOD or REDMOD version.
If using Vortex, make sure that the load order is 4x graphics mod > 4x framework.
Also make sure you satisfy all requirements in the FAQ in the sticky post above.
Hi, wow, what a great idea for a mod! You recently made an Android NSFW addon for this too..maybe you could make more ? Cyberpunkish themes interfaces for the vending machines ? Im in the process of figuring out this myself and editing your "androids" to change the vending machines with high tech cyberpunk looking vending machine interfaces....from googling images of concept art like this etc.......but id prefer to have ALL THESE ANDROID chicks, because these are....masterpieces,,,,,AND another pack with vanilla friends vending machine ads.
Yea, the framework is meant to be used with a graphics mod. Cool, permissions on my graphics mods allows you to publish a mod that includes my graphics. I already have made a 8x Vending Machine Framework (see optional files) that can be used to mix androids graphics with more graphics. Just ask if you need me to publish the 8x to use a dependency.

---i managed to merge a customized version of the 4x, in which i added my graphics pack, and the 4x android version from here on the nexus into the 8x version..basically by renaming almost all android files from 01, to 20 -40..etc...theres are some unused files in the android version it seems. i picked and choosed the ones i liked most et...now all vending machines are a random mess, hardly ever the same...its awesome :)
Thanks :) What i noticed, they dont get randomized each time you load a save ? a texture is allocated to a vending machine and that stays there forever ? All variations work and they appear etc, i just dont see them switch places on different vending machine.
I Custom made a bunch of Chromanticore and Nicola and such game brand vending machine ads, and made them available for every single texture type even for ones that werent available for that type of vending machine, and I thought these brands would randomly appear and change into one another from time to time, so I would see all these brands everywhere...i was wrong.
It functions the same way as vanilla vending machines. They are inherently static like posters and magazines, not like ads. Not sure why you were expecting something different?
If the images for a type of vending machine are present, you should see that distributed throughout the world for that corresponding type. Try looking around more, and you should see it. There are a lot of textures, especially with 8x framework, so seeing a particular a one might be rare depending on the type.
Your mods expanding and randomizing parts of the game are awesome, thank you! I'm wondering with the optional 8x vending option in the files, is it redmod or non-redmod? I can't seem to find the answer or does it matter with that one? Thanks!
It's non-REDMOD. You can tell from the folder structure: non-REDMOD root folder == 'archive', REDMOD == 'mods'. Most mod authors use non-REDMOD when working in WolvenKit, so I only provided that. But you can convert it to REDMOD yourself if you prefer.
Vending machines flickering after recent update. One of the dependencies need to be updated or something. Unfortunate, but this mod is unusable right now.
Thanks.. Don't know how I didn't catch that update, but I appreciate it.. that definitely helped.. the flickering has definitely reduced.. there are some really small vending machine screens that still flicker, but it's ignorable/minimal.
They should not flicker if every requirement is met in sticky post. Possibly some core mods aren't updated for 2.21 yet. Hopefully others will chime in too with whether they are seeing flickering or not after updating.
I think this mod needs another update because Cyberpunk just had an update and now the vending machines flicker again. They weren't before this update.

Just like your 4x Poster Framework, LOOOVE this mod and what it does! Just like the posters, the sheer huge amount of vending machines found everywhere (and in every nook & cranny, lol) in Night City, the repetitiveness of the vending machines' graphics/designs also becomes more of an eyesore than not, and this mod improves on the vending machine art/design variety sooooo much more/better!

First off, I would like to thank the creator for the time and effort they put into making this mod.
I have been experiencing the same flicker with vending machines and posters that others have mentioned. I happens on almost all vending machines and posters. Try as I might I cannot seem to fix it.
I noticed on the posters that when I install and activate 4x posters you can see that there are separate model added over the original. It is obvious in some areas because the second model appear to be flipped about the vertical axis of the original model, although the picture is not. When I deactivate the mode the added models go away.
Currently, all I have installed is resource mods and body mods. I do not have any mods that change the environment other than the 4x vending machine and poster mods. I use Steam so the latest patches the have been applied. Has anyone solved this problem or found a workaround? I would love to use 4x mods, but the flickering is way too distracting.
Flickering between two images happens when two images are overlayed on each other. The game tries to render both images in the same spot, resulting in the rapid switching/flickering between them.
If almost all posters are flickering, then it likely means that you either have 2 poster frameworks installed, or something is preventing ArchiveXL from removing nodes. Make sure ArchiveXL is updated and installed correctly, and make sure that only 1 file is installed. Make sure you uninstall all framework files, then choose either redmod or non-redmod 4x version, and do not install 8x.
Also ArchiveXL has its own dependencies, so go to that page and make sure those are updated and installed too.
I uninstalled ArchiveXL as well as its dependance red4ext.
Removed both old vending machine .archive files from "...\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod" folder.
I reinstalled ArchiveXL and red4ext.
I started up cyberpunk2077 for a few minutes and then exited.
I checked red4ext log file in "...\Cyberpunk 2077\red4ext\logs" and found no warning or errors.
I checked ArchiveXL log file in "...\Cyberpunk 2077\red4ext\plugins\ArchiveXL" and found no warning or errors.
I downloaded the latest copy of 4x Vending Machine Framework (non-REDMOD) (v2.2) and placed .archive files in "...\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod" folder.
I started back up cyberpunk2077 and still get flickering.
I checked the ArchiveXL log file and I get several warnings and errors like the ones below:
[error] |WorldStreaming| custom_vending.archive.xl: Sector "base\worlds\03_night_city\_compiled\default\ep1\exterior_-21_-27_0_0.streamingsector" doesn't exist. I should mention that I am using an old save game from before the 2.13 patches. I am also running the game from the REDLauncher. Could an old save game be the problem?
I will try to run a new game later today to see if that fixes the issue.
Oh you don't have Phantom Liberty expansion, correct? That would cause the ArchiveXL error, which cause it to be unable to delete those nodes. I guess I should put a note that this mod requires the expansion, I didn't know for sure how much it would affect this mod without it. Did you notice the issues everywhere throughout Night City, or mostly in specific areas?
Old save games would work fine. Important part is making sure the game itself is running latest version and Phantom Liberty to avoid any issues.
So I may have figured out the reason some people were experiencing the quick flash between images on vending machines and posters (seen posts of this problem on both of the other mod pages).
When going into AMM, I noticed that its placing 2 of the same item with different photos on them right on top of each other. It fine in H10 but once your downstairs out of the elevator that's when it starts. This is only happening with the 4x Vending Machine Framework and 4x Poster Framework enabled. Just wanted to try and help out if anybody was wondering why and possibly get an update for it in the future.
Thx for testing this. I tried installing AMM to test it myself, but I can't get any vending machines or posters to flicker. I don't use AMM much though, so maybe I am not using a commonly used feature or something. Are you just pressing the hotkey to pull up the AMM menu, or is there something special you do after that to make it flicker?
The flickering is just happening for me but Im using the F11 hotkey to get to AMM in order to see them. It them shows that there is a custom item in the same spot as the original vending machine. If there was a way to show you I would be happy to help.
Ok, I was trying the AMM hotkey and it didn't cause any flickering for me. I don't have any AMM dependent mods, so it might be one that you installed is adding those to the game. If both this mod and a AMM mod that adds a vending machine or poster in the same location, then you will see flickering.
There are a couple vending machines in the game where CDPR accidentally placed a duplicate things in the same spot (I fixed these that I know about). However, if you found one of those, then it would be maybe 1 or 2 that flicker, not everything in the area.
Also, make sure that you are either using the 4x or 8x framework. If you use them together, then they will probably cause this issue because they will both add to the same locations. The 4x and 8x are incompatible, and meant to be used separately.
If none of these are your problem, then feel free to link some video or picture in your post and I can confirm if a duplicate item exists there or not.
Sooooo, started work on your 4x framework vending machines. Good idea on your part and kudos for having the skills to make it. Time for me to support it :-)

Old save games would work fine. Important part is making sure the game itself is running latest version and Phantom Liberty to avoid any issues.
