    New Version (v1.1)

    • Added Smooth Movement for Crouch Sprinting (Ninjutsu Perk - Level 3 | Cool Attribute). Thank you ShinyaON for the suggestion.
    • Removed the Camera Restrictions when sliding. Thank you mikegrauohr for the suggestion.

Don't like the new Unrestricted Camera during the Slide? No problem.

    • For CET: Delete the Line 17 on the .lua file, which calls the SetSmoothSlide() function.
    • For TweakXL: Delete the "SmoothSlide.yaml" file.

Thank you for the support chooms!

After seeing this and meaning to try it for a couple weeks I finally remembered and added it to my mod list. Wow! It's like playing an instantly more competent feeling game.

It's crazy how you can go along doing something and not realize just how wrong it looks and feels until it's pointed out. This mod is the equivalent of finding out you were playing Zelda 64 @20fps the whole time and introducing a mod that bumps it to 30. It's *that* drastic.

It takes a little getting used to, since you can mitigate the problem a bit with a controller and I had, so I'll have to adjust some in-game settings, but 5 mins with this active and I'm already convinced it's never leaving my mods.

    Thanks, endorsed

Great mod! Thanks a lot! Please tell me how can I increase the speed acceleration so that I can pick up speed and brake more smoothly? I tripled all your values but didn't get the desired effect.

The values you're looking for are acceleration, deacceleration and brake.

Acceleration and Deacceleration is how fast you pick up speed, and how fast you loose speed when there's no input.
Brake is how much speed reduction is applied to the character when inputting an opposite direction that you're going.

Remember that each stance (standing, crouching, sprinting, etc...) has its own unique values.

Modding the CET Version: After changing the values on the LUA Script (Make sure to save the file), go to your CET Overlay and click on "Reload all mods", then Reload your last save file (F9), you'll have to do this every time you make changes to the LUA Script.

Modding the TweakXL Version: It's the same parameters, inline2, inline3 and inline4 represent acceleration, deacceleration and brake respectively, after making the changes to the YAML file, open the CET Console and type this:TweakXL.Reload()
Then proceed to reload your save file (F9) and the parameters should be applied.

I only changed the acceleration, deceleration and brake parameters (I made it three times higher). I saved the parameters in the Yaml document, launched the game, reset the mod settings in CET, typed TweakXL.Reload() in the console, but saw no result. I think the transitions have become even sharper than your version.
Do I really need to change only these parameters?
Below in the Yaml document, after the values, there are other lines of code. Does anything need to be changed there?
Sorry if the question is stupid but I'm weak at reading code.
It would be nice if you posted a version of the ten times more effect for a visible difference so that I know for sure that the problem is on my side.
I think I don't have any mods that can break your mod.
Among the mods that may somehow conflict:
Immersive first person (but as far as I know this only changes the way the camera works)
Advanced controls (allows you to change the speed of movement using the mouse wheel, nothing to do with acceleration)
The mod is really very cool, the vanilla movement discouraged me from using the keyboard, but now with your mod I can finally put the controller down :D (using a controller in shooters is a nightmare for me).
      Thanks again!

Make sure to reload your save file after reloading the TweakXL Database with the console command.

I did it. I did anything you said man:D
But for some reason the movement became sharper. Not smoother.
I changed only parameters of acceleration, tried to increase them and reduce them. Tried to change another parameters with acceleration together.
Only your preset works normally for me.
Maybe there is some limit to these parameters? Or if the acceleration parameters are too high, i need to change something else along with it?If you have a free couple of minutes, please check how the triple increase in acceleration values works for you. I would be very grateful. Because I gave up, I already tried everything I could :D

Сompared the movement from the gif in the description with my movement. Mine is sharper than yours in the preview. It seems the mod is not working correctly due to CET updates.

unless i misunderstand, tripling (raising) all the parameters would make everything happen sharper and more abruptly? i think if you wanted movement starting/stopping to go slower, i would lower just the "accel" and "deaccel" numbers at first. you probably don't have to change "break" or "breakdot".

Known issue : When using a mod that add great speed (like Raito cyberdeck) it makes the movement so smooth, you slide across the battlefield, would it be possible to make smoothiness inverse proportional to the speed ?

You would need to edit the mod that changes the player speed parameters to also modify the acceleration/friction values for the player, I would try to look into it myself but I haven't had the time to play Cyberpunk lately.

Alternatively, a easy "solution" is to reduce the speed boost given by the Cyberdeck to something easier to control, not ideal but... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

hello! first of all, thanks for the wonderful mod! :)
i just wanted to ask, maybe you know..
When lets say V walks to the right and stops(not pressing "right" anymore) - animation of V standing straight comes so fast that it breaks immersion :(
it's the only issue left to be honest. It's a vanilla thing i believe. But maybe you know.. idk, like where to look to decrease that insanely fast speed of returning to standing in a straight pose. Help, if you can :D
and thanks again for smooth movement! such a smooth mod, love it)

Love the mod! I was wondering if you would consider maybe uploading a lite version of the mod? I think an inbetween of default and what your current values are would be more perfect for me and whoever else is looking for something similar.
