I just did a complete/fresh reinstall (Steam) of my game (nuked all associated old folders+files; fresh re-downloads of all the mods I use; manual installs; no REDmod mods used).
Can confirm this mod is still working hella preem with 2.12a. ♥
I honestly don't know how shadows work in this game, made even more complicated by graphics settings (rtx, which are able to cast shadows from original geometry instead of shadow mesh). I put a basegame ponytail shadowmesh in this mod, and if its moving out of sync that probably hints at wrong or lacking armature, i'll let you know if i find out more or find a solution.

Yes, I'm aware of the shadow meshes existing, and i usually try to put a matching shadowmesh in the hair mods i make. However, it's not just as simple as that unfortunately, shadows are inconsistent and often cause issues. There are separate arrays in the .mesh and .app files that need to be adjusted to enable ray tracing from original geometry (which is enabled for my recenter mods). But even then, sometimes weird issues are still reported, and i just don't fully know what could or is causing them, unfortunately. Tutorial is also quite outdated btw, use wolvenkit for modding nowadays.

But can you please make a version without the longer side bangs? I have a head cyberware mod that would fit perfectly with the hair, only the bangs are clipping through it... I would really appreciate it!
Sorry, I won't. But, feel free to do it yourself, it's not that hard. All you need is wolvenkit and blender (just delete the strand vertices). Check wiki or discords for tutorials/support.
