Hi! I just wanted to ask if you have any mods for small items like shampoo, toothbrush, etc. I've been looking for them in AMM, but I can't find them for ages...
Ah... this is it.Thank you so much. I'll give up adding it to my mods now, but I'll add it to future mods. Thanks for the help.(・´з`・) Unfortunately, this small item did not make it to Villa.(´・ω・`)
Geez great alignment. How on earth did you get it right? I'm trying to see if I can fill up some of the desert areas but man I struggle to line up floors and walls
1. I usually just note down or copy the height of the first wall and then I use this height on the other walls, the same with the floors. I use also clone, then I have the height and the rotations from the previous similar item. The most challenging thing is aligning items that should be next to each other like floor/wall pieces, I use the Precision checkbox (and a lot of patience ) 2. With the walls I make sure that I note down their rotation angles, then I just use those angles to align everything as much as possible.
Please excuse my noobishness, but where can I find this "precision box" good sir? I don't know where to find coordinates/angles for individual props. I put together a very raw shell the other day but had to cover up janky misaligned flooring with flat textures that have no collision, and wound up using far more assets than was needed to get a decent looking final product :(
EDIT: Oh, and thanks for getting back to me! Your design is now a permanent part of my world :D
I added 2 photos to the mod with an example. When you spawn an item you have the button Target. Once you select Target the Tools window will appear. If you don't have it yet you need to select the tab Tools from the options listed on the top and click the button Open target tool. Now you have the Tool window with the axis and the coordinates. The blue one is the height, and the box under the height is the rotation around the vertical axis. The boxes with the coordinates are text boxes so you can change them by moving the mouse, copy, paste, or manually type the values.
The collision issue is something else, I have it with a lot of the floors and the walls. In the current mod I had to add Thin floor with collision just under the surface of the wooden floor. When you search for spawnable items you can search for Collision floor or collision wall, most of the items that appear in the result have collision (and some still don't).
The possible reason could be that I adapted the tag name for the preset, it is not the general "Misc", but beach_house_badlands_tag, but I need to test this.
I wish there was an option in AMM to migrate the whole place to another location when necessary I just made sure to put the house high enough so I wouldn't see NPCs's heads through the floor
Thank you very much! Aligning is indeed quite challenging and there are other issues like missing collisions, but I'm still glad to have this beach house
