It's a good idea but kind of done in a cumbersome way, using the old dev trops to boost the difficulty, like the no-saving, sending the player some place for no reason and forcing them to backtrack, tons of enemies surrounding us. A good quest doesn't have to be frustrating or exeedingly more difficult than the main quest
(Playing with various mods that boost the enemies (like making them shoot twice as hard), no saving just makes it incredibly difficult when you face several enemies shooting at you and throwing system collapse, but you can't hack back because they're behind a "one way" fence, the difficulty feels higher than dealing with Placide.)
8ug8ear isn't a friend, that one mission where we rescue her isn't enough to make it feel so. The blackwall AI introduction doesn't work for me, I would have liked it better as a follow up of the gig "Getting warmer", receiving a text from Wakako asking us for a favour and to rescue 8ug8ear one more time. I think this would have made more sense and maybe given a stronger feeling of responsability.
The white marker on the map should come with a message to inform the player (especially not to add a new one, erasing the quest marker). It's easy to miss on some busy maps and it seems it only appears the first time. Unless I'm mistaken, calling again doesn't add the marker again. Nothing informs you that you can just reload a save to start the whole thing again, or only some comments here.
Also, there's no warning about the counter until the messages with x minutes left appear, or that we can't even save. I was in the middle of another quest (after the quest installing), and that just messed it up.
It's great to see new quests offered. This one isn't for me as it is but I'm looking forward to seeing the stories you can give us. Although I don't feel much for 8ug8ear, it's nicely tied to he game and really adds to the world and immersion I think.
1. First of all why do you rewiew this in a context of you mods? If your mods make it too hard it's a ridiculous argument. 2. In this world nobody is a real friend. There's not enough information to tell if she's a friend or not, so I made her a friend. 3. The marker is not an issue of this mod. The navigation system was made unusable by the devs and no mods can make a proper use of the marker. 4. Seriously, you're in the middle of a quest and starting another one. There's nothing I can do to help in this situation.
thank you for building the quest. ... problem - timer is too quick, can't find 8ug anywhere. the mobs are so many that by the time you kill all of them 8ug keeps dying. not sure how to actually find 8ug. at the dam, at the landing, at the mobs, but no 8ug. I looked for guides with this and all that is out there is the main quest from the fixer to disconnect 8ug. ... at this point have to abandon the quest, uninstall as the quest kills 8ug. ... As much as I appreciate your work, can't figure out how to do the quest in time. ... good try, but I have to move on :(
She's at the very end of the walkway. It's not an easy mission and there are many opponents to go through. An easier way to start is to start sniping them from the top and going along the road instead of going down straight away
Hey, coming back a few days after finishing Cyberpunk and I'm interested in learning how to make mods for the game myself. If you have any tips or pointers on how I could get started, I'd be grateful! I'm a comp sci major with experience in coding if that helps
You can start with the template https://github.com/DVLP/QuestRunner. You can copy QuestTemplate and tools folders and use this as your starting point. Change QuestTemplate to a new name, use tools/mount.bat to mount the plugin in the game, change some parameters, coordinates, messages, names, maybe add a some intermediate steps and boom, you have your own mod. Then just pack it with tools/bundle.sh and upload to Nexus Mods
Guys when you drop to the white car, follow it to the road. and you will see on map white point. then fast travel there. go under with ledder. take her and teleport to the near victor ;)
What a pathetic comment, this dude worked many hours, making a new quest, from scratch, something that require a lot of skills and time, he release it for free, and all you find to say, is "it's poorly done", man, what a clown you are.
Thanks for taking the time to make this questline. I don't think people realize how difficult it must be to find the time and skill to do something like this. So I'd say screw the haters and just try look at some comments as positive critique to improve.
I myself found a few of the points raised in said comments but also used my brain to find the solutions. Lol.
I haven't finished the mission yet. I keep running out of time as I'm only a casual player and take too long to kill all the enemies.
Again, thanks for the effort and ignore the haters. Well done!

Also, after I found her, I couldn't summon a vehicle. Probably not a mod bug but still had to replay twice. :(
