They're still showing up, did you do something specific to make it work ?

nope, this mod just work flawlessly without "Remove Traffic mod". I'm on version 2.11 now.

Is this still needed in 2.0, and if so, does this mod still work?

Yes the distant car and NPC LODs are still a complete joke.

      They really are. 😅

Thankfully this mod fixes that. Sure, the streets look a bit empty at a distance, but at least they don't look stupid!

It still works, and it’s still needed. My goodness, 2D car models look like total ass.

Is it not possible to just adjust the distance or they drop? coz removing them completely removes the immersion, distant roads seem empty .

I would agree, but i rather have empty roads them 40 bajillion car looking things in stream that just blip away, or are completely in the wrong local for it.

In all the open world that I have known like GTA or Tom Clancy's Wildland, there are these 2D cars but only seen from afar and it adds life on the roads, at night we can see the headlights from very far, but in CP they disappear too close to the player, the depop setting is really bad.

Having a completely empty open world is sad.

I'm also annoyed by those "billboards" (it's how the technique is called), but for a different reason: Since they're all fake - there's no actual cars there - if you do for example accelerate towards them, they just suddenly disappear in front of you, instead of turning into "real" cars. If they were only visible far away, i'd actually like them. Isn't there some kinda ini-setting, to push the boundary between billboard-cars and real cars further away?

I think Im gonna wait until the mod itself makes it so we don't render these 2d vehicles, because then we are gonna improve performance.

It already is doing that, by making them invisible. they are still there.  but they are not visible. so therefore they are not being rendered

Functionally it wouldn't make any difference, rendering those low rez images already had little performance impact. The game is essentially rendering a dummy file with this mod, meaning there isn't going to be any impact on your GPU whatsoever. Loading like, what, a byte in to memory isn't going to be an issue.

    It doesn't work for me

    E:\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod

Or do I really just have to put it in the "archive" folder?

    Like this:
    E:\Cyberpunk 2077\archive

      no E:\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod
      should be the  right one
