There's a fabric banner above a food stall not far from V's megabuilding in Little China with a design that looks very familiar. Turns out it's just the Chromanticore 'Be Bad Do Bad Feel Fkn Good' lady, reused with some added calligraphy which, if you believe Bing AI, says either 'Yokohama Green' or 'Health Is Complicated' in Chinese. Oooookay. Anyway it never hurts to have more visual diversity so it's time for something different.
As it's coming up to Chinese New Year at time of writing, I was curious what 2077 will be in the celestial zodiac: lo and behold it's the Year of the Rooster. So here's a little thematic decoration to mark V's least lucky year in NC. Or it could just be advertising chicken to go, provide your own head canon. The game is huge and there's some instances of unexpected asset re-use here and there*, so if you find a place where this texture appears in a ridiculous context then please feel free to add a screenshot while pointing at me and laughing cruelly, and I shall put on the dunce hat in good grace. So far I've only seen it used as expected i.e. on awnings and hangings: so if it turns out it was also the fabric of Adam Smasher's jockstrap in a plot thread I haven't found, then my apologies. I'm sure he looked lovely in it.
Drop the contents of the zip file into your Cyberpunk 2077 game folder. Will only affect objects using this particular texture.
*Some are mystifying. V seeing Samurai posters around NC in 2077 would be like you or I going to London today and seeing posters for The Beatles on public walls instead of just in specialist shops and collectors' homes. Also in the Silverhand flashbacks there's stuff you see everywhere in 2077. Can't help but feel there's a QOL mod waiting to be made there. Maybe 'Anachronisms Annulled'?
